As Arriana went to see the COP she then chimes the chime and awaits to come in. She then stood outside waiting and then sits down on the floor.

Lieutenant J.G. Arriana Rabb

“Enter!” Brenna called out. The door would open to a small entry way and once the outer doors closed the inner ones would open to allow Arriana to enter. The area was large and set up with several divided spaces, all housing several animals. It was a massive area allowing for the animals to have room to run, play, sleep, eat, and socialize. The central area was open and had areas to sit, lots of toys, and different pet furniture about the room. To the far right side was a small area, surrounded by a half wall, to keep the animals from over running her desk area. Brenna stood up and came around the desk and into the main area. “Hello Lt. Have you come to pick out an animal for yourself or are you just here to spend some time with the animals?”

As Arriana goes in, she then said to the Lt Cmdr “Well both. What kind of animals do we have?” Arriana asked. She then started to look around. She then stopped right in front of one that actually caught her by the eye. She stopped right in front of one and is curious what it is. She then asked the Lt. Cmdr “What kind of animal is this one?” After she asked she spent time with it.

OOC: Hey Chris, I have a large list of potential animals. But first could I get a little input, IC (in character) from you? Is it large or small? Does it fly or grounded? Fur, scales, feathers, etc? That will help me narrow down potential idea. Or if you have no preference at all I will choose something at random.

Ic: “Small grounded with fur” she then decided to make it a little more clear to the commander a little more because she was wondering what she wanted for a little pet of her own.

OOC: No problem at all. I just wanted to make sure to pick something you would like. :) So some of this is from Memory Alpha (this animal was seen in TAS, and some of this I made up (the personality).

IC: Brenna walked over to look at what had caught Arriana’s attention. “A Gossamer mouse. Interesting aren’t they? The gossamer mouse used to be used as a sensitive lab animal kept in medical labs. This species of mammal, as well as its organs, are naturally translucent in appearance. They are very sensative to changes in energy patterns and chemicals in the air around them. They have a strict diet because of that, but are very friendly and affectionate. If you spend enough time with them, they can even live outside of their small habitat enclosures and move around your quarters. I’ve even seen them tag along in a pocket and stay with you if you build enough trust with them.” Brenna stepped into the enclosure and over to one of the small habitats and opened the door. A little nose, or was it even there, poked out and came over to her hand. Brenna carefully picked it up, cradling it carefully and walked back over, “Here, you can hold her. She’s fairly young so she’s eager to bond with someone and she loves people.” She carefully places the little Gossamer mouse in Arriana’s hands.
