The Tweedles left the turbolift and approached the door to the CO’S ready room. They had already been to their quarters and what they saw concerned them greatly. The quarters were not set up to cater for non bipedal species and the bed would simply not do.

And as for the sonic shower … was fleet and ship command even aware that sonics and blobs did not mix? Dum managed to calm Dee down sufficiently to stop its sibling from going on a rampage around the ship and made its fellow blob promise to let Dum do the talking to the captain. It would not do for them to annoy the captain so much that they were dismissed from service.

Dum formed an appendage and hit the door chime to the captain’s ready room and then the blobs waited for the captain.

Aaron was reading said blobs service record when the chime rang. Which pain in my neck is it this time? He thought, before speaking up. “Come!”

The Tweedles entered the ready room, firstly Dum and then Dee. Dum sensed that Dee was going to start speaking, and got in first.

“Captain Michaels, I’m Dum and this is my sibling, Dee we are the Tweedles and as you know, we’re the Chief Engineers.” Dum said by way of introduction.

“Captain, I want to complain,” Dee said.

“We’ll get to that, sibling,” Dum said, cutting its fellow blob off, “we are pleased to be here, and we feel that the ship needs to have a complete review of its systems.”

“I want to complain about,” Dee tried again.

“We also want to install the GDU around the ship. The ship is seriously lacking at the moment, Captain, and we believe that the lack of the GDU is preventing the crew from performing at the highest level possible.” Dum said.

“Would you let me finish, Dum,” Dee asked its fellow blob.

“I think we should let the Captain speak, Dee,” Dum replied.
