Unlike the other members of the Senior Staff, Peter requested quarters on deck 8, the Quarters doubled as the Intelligence Offices and their proximity to the Security Offices, Armory and Brig allowed him a more secure area to perform the dull business of reading intelligence reports and his various side jobs, his Work with Captain Nakuto regarding the disappearances of the Viking crew, His work with Junior Grimshaw and on a related note his continual surveillance of said man.He had just finished his latest work and decided on a short walk to stretch his legs.

After a few moments stalled out of warp, the ship itself seemed to bend and twist. “Warning: warp core breach imminent. 30 seconds to detonation.”

“Warning: warp core breach imminent. Detonation in progress.”

“Warning: warp core has breached. 20 seconds past detonation.”

Then everything went black.

As soon as the first alarm started Peter started running, he knew that there wasn’t anything he could do. when the second description came he stopped dead in his tracks, closed his eyes, and thought of home. Then when nothing came and he opened his eyes once more and could see nothing and for a second he considered if he was truly dead. Why would death keep announcing in that Starfleet Computer Voice? He looked around to see if he could find out where exactly he was, he hadn’t run for more than 30 seconds so he couldn’t be that far from his office. He placed his hand on the wall and started walking back to his office, his other hand touched his combadge and he waited to see if it chirped.
