Peter chuckled “Don’t worry, My reports don’t mention what the children of this ship can and can’t do” He took another sip, it wasn’t long until he’d have to stop drinking, he was really starting to feel it “Earth, a small island in the Northern hemisphere in the continent of Europe, the Nordic North. Iceland it’s called. Home to the on of the biggest glaciers in Europe and one of the oldest parliamentary systems on the planet.”

Peter

“ Iceland “ Luna said. Her gases was dissent for a moment. She had never seen earth. But she know about Iceland it was Loki’s home. The father of her child. He had disappeared shortly after Cirenity’s birth. Tears streaked her face before she remembered where she was. When she came back to her sences she shook her head quietly wiping the tears away. “ I’m sorry that where Cirenity’s father is from his name is Loki he disappeared shortly after she was born. I gess I have bad luck” she said shaking her head and force long herself to smile. Cirenity was at the moment trying to get the XO to play peckaboo with her. The sight of witch did get a real smile from Luna. But it was a complicated experience a mix of sad and happy.
Ensign Luna

Peter furrowed his brow at her comment, an Icelander named Loki. It was an old name but fairly uncommon, he’d only ever known someone with the middle name. It was still associated as the name of a Trickster. “I see, Well if you give me his full name I can look into it, If he was born in Iceland there will be detailed files on him. I’d be able to trace his family if you don’t already have access to them.” He looked at the winged child “And finding an Icelander in space is easier than one would think, not that many of us out here.”

“ if I can ever remember what his full name was? I know he was definitely real she is a spitting image of him aside from the wings” Luna said referring to the child who cerinly had a mischievous look on her face. “ I remember him telling me about his family but I don’t think he had a last name. If I did not know better I’d say we were visited by only of the old Viking legends. Pritty fiting considering the name of the ship. Ether way the fewer people how know about Cirenity the better thank you for the offer thow “ Luna said with a smile.
Ensign Luna

Nevin obliged Cerenity by playing peekaboo. He wasn’t sure why Luna wanted to keep her childs ability private, but he didn’t ask. It wasn’t his business and he respected Luna’s choice.

“I’m not familiar with Earth legends,” Nevin said, “I mean, I know what a Viking was, but not what they did.”

Luna smiled. “ if I remember correctly the Vikings believed in several gods one of witch was Loki the god of mischief. He was always causing problems for both the people and the gods alike.” She said then looked at Peter . “ I’m thinking of the right legion right or did I get them mixed up” Luna asked.
Ensign Luna

Peter chuckled “It was slightly more complicated than that but the gist is correct” He downed his final drink “The Viking age is said to have been from the late eighth century of Earth to the year 1066. Vikings were seafaring raiders and traders, they took over large parts of the British Isles and were one of the earliest Western explorers of the now named America’s. They travelled around killing and raiding but also trading with the countries they visited. The age is commonly referred to have ended when the ancient Saxons defeated the Norwegian King Haraldr Harðráða at the battle of Stamford Bridge.” He took the tap of the bottle but before closing it he offered the Commander another refill “The gods, however, is a much longer story, most of what we know about them were either legends passed down or stuff written by a Tenth-Century Icelandic Christian, the Snorra-Edda. It’s a great read if you have the time. Fallible gods made for the greatest tales.”

Nevin accepted Peter’s ofer of a drink graciously.

“Fallible Gods? Or offworld visitors playing God?” Nevin asked, “With transporter & replicator technology, anyone could be God to a less developed world.”

“ Tranport” cerinity said trying to copy the camander. Luna giggled. “ then how do you explain story’s of thor shouting litghning from his hands.” Luna said
Ensign Luna

“The stories are a little more complex than shooting lightings out of his hands,” Peter said with humorous intent “He wielded Mjölnir, the hammer Built by the Dwarfs Eitri or Sindri and Brokkr. With it, he could command the sky and cast lighting, he could throw it away and it would always fly back” Peter chuckled “Give me a weapon that I can throw away that always comes back and I’ll be happy for life” He finally put the cap on the bottle and got a waiter to remove it “No these are not like the documented tragedies of the Greeks where they showed man overcoming the gods, the Æsir were tales of hubris built out of old folks tales, anything else is Science Fiction”

“ you should talk to the Chife science officer Maby he can figer it out.” She said giggling. Cirenity Hughes the XO she was happy he was playing with her. “ Children grow up quietly. I wonder how much longer I’ll be able to protect her. “ Luna said, there was almost a distant exspretion to the stament. But she quietly came back to the here and now. “ how long have you been onboard” Luna asked.
Ensign Luna

“A couple of weeks ago, I arrived with a team of Intelligence officers. We had been working together in the Orginized crime division for the past while.” Peter answered.

Peter

“ what dose an Orginized Crime deviation do? Sorry I don’t get much time to look this kind of stuff up. Why did you pick star fleet” she asked.
Ensign Luna

Peter smiled knowingly “We’re mostly assigned to seek intelligence and investigate Organized crime outside of the Federation. I was assigned to infiltrate one such group, for the last few months I’ve been testifying against them in a court.” He swirled an empty glass “My mother was a Lifelong fleeter so I’d decided early on, I got in at eighteen. I was in the Academy when the Bajoran wormhole opened So my first years in Service as a junior Security officer during the Cold war, it was an interesting time for sure.”

Peter

“ sounds interesting, why are you on this ship though you most have made someone angry” lily said. There was a reason everyone was on this ship and it usually was not good.
Ensign Luna

Peter chuckled softly at her question “I made plenty of people angry, just on the other side of our borders. Starfleet couldn’t be happier with me. I saw a Personnel request for Intelligence staff on the Viking and applied, I used to be the Security Chief here a few years back, you could say I was a little nostalgic.” He looked at the winged Ensign “Why do you ask, did you piss someone off?

Luna giggled she found peter’s response funny. “ most people how are stationed on this ship are here because they got into trouble. My story is a little more complicated. I’m human the result of illegal genetic exsperimention. It was a Star Fleet admiral who was responsible for my creation as well as turning his sun and wife into borg. I did not learn that until after I joined Star Fleet and was kidnaped along with his sun from this ship. Anyway star fleet orginly did not want to allow me to join younger the grands that I’m not considered humanoid. I have enemies in high places I’m shure star fleet would not want the General public to know what they did. If you don’t believe me there’s plenty of prof in my medical records.” She said. She watched him carfuly, she wondered what his reaction was be.
Ensign Luna

Tanis finally made it to his time off as he passed through the 12 forwards doors to a rather bustling room as he tried to find a place to sit. As a waiter came over to him. “What can I get you?” the waiter asked. “Let’s start with some Sweet Iced Tea?” Tanis said quickly with a sigh. “What are the specials for tonight?” Tanis asked the waiter. “Well let’s see there is a Burger and fried meal and fish and chips meal and A chef salad and Taco salad.” ZThe waiter commented casually to Tanis. “Well, let’s have a Taco salad with no rice.” Tanis added to his order before the Waiter left to fill the order.

Peter simply listened to the woman’s tale, no expression betrayed his thoughts on the matter “I see, then would it not be wise to keep such things to yourself, rather than talk so liberarly about them in a public setting such as this?”

Luna watched the doctor as he entered. She was carfull around medical personnel. There weren’t manny of them she trusted. “ not many are crazy enough to believe me on this ship. Besides were to far from the rest of the federation if they had wanted me dead they would have come after me again. Are you afraid of anything ” Luna said.
Ensign Luna

Peter smiled but didn’t answer immediately.

The XO was sat in his civilian clothing saw the young doctor looking for a space to sit. He coughed gently to subtly let Luna know that there was another doctor nearby. Luna had never known him when he had been a doctor himself, so didn’t take her remark personally.

He gestured an invitation for the man looking for a seat to join them - The table they were at was one of the few with an empty seat.

Tanis noticed someone that was trying to get his attention as he decided to move towards there direction noting an empty seat. “Hello there.” tanis said with a small smile on his face. as he stood there calmly waiting to see what will happen next.

Tanis

“Doctor” crenity said making a funny face at Tanis. The winged child had returned to her mother after haveing gotten board with pestering the XO. Luna watched the doctor aproched.” Hello Doctor “ she said and forced a smile. Ensign Luna did not outright hate Doctors she just did not trust them.
Ensign Luna

“Well hello there…” Tanis felt the that she was uncomfortable around him. He was not sure if it was him or his profession. “I am Tanis. And you are?” Tanis said in a calm and soothing voice.
Tanis

“ I’m Luna and this is my doughter Crenity” Luna said calmly. Crenity gigged and stuck her toung out at Tanis, witch courses Luna to giggle. “ she a bit mischievous” Luna added.
Ensign Luna

“I see that very playful.” as Tanis let out a small laugh. “Nice to meet you both.” As he stood there still holding his tray.

Tanis

“ are you going to sit down or stand there until the XO he’s angry he invited you to sit” Luna said giggling. She relaxed some. “ mommy, scard of Doctor” Crenity said. Luna turned bright red and she covered her face with her hand. “ I didn’t teach her those words. How can she even know what they mean” she said shocked. Crenity giggled and flapped her wings. She had a mischievous look on her face to.
Ensign Luna

“Thank you. I usually wait for the officer to offer me the seat. to confirm for me to sit I just don’t assume.” Tanis said with a small smile. “That explains the fear i felt from you as I entered 12 Forward.”
Tanis

Peter smiled “Don’t worry, son. You’ll get used to that feeling” He turned again to the winged Ensign “There are very few things I fear direcly now a-days. My first few years of service were spent fighting the Jem-Ha’dar, probably the most fearsome warrior race in the galaxy, after them I find it very difficult to be afeared of anything.”

Peter

“Sir?” Tanis said a bit confused by the officer’s comment. As he took a drink. And started looking over his meal briefly as he waited for better understanding.
