Stone barely had time to register where he was before plunging into the swimming pool in the recreation centre. A somewhat overeager lifeguard launched himself into the pool and quickly pulled the engineer back up to the surface as a baffled young couple gawped at the sight before their eyes.OOC: Sorry, couldn’t resist! :)

Coughing up water, Stone finally managed to ask: “Where the hell am I… and where are the rest of my crewmembers?”
Then his eyes went wide… “My gear!!!!”He let go of the toolbox he was carrying earlier, and could now see it on the bottom of the pool.

The lifeguard dragged Stone to the side of the pool and deposited him on the steps to catch his breath then dove down to retrieve the engineer’s soggy tool box from the bottom of the pool. He swam back across and leapt out of the water, rather indelicately plonking the tool box down by the poolside and quickly dragged the spluttering engineer out of the water. They lay on the edge of the pool momentarily as they caught their breath before the lifeguard sat up and surveyed his new companion. “I take it you weren’t aiming for the pool unless this is some new adventure sport I don’t know about?” he mused as he grabbed a couple of nearby towels and threw one to Stone, wiping his face dry with the other.

“No, of course not. I was beamed down to help you guys with the repairs on the weather station.” Mike spoke, drying himself. “Is there any dry clothes i can change into? I’d beam up to our ship for a change of clothes, but I’m worried where I might lend next time.”
The young lifeguard nodded and went across to his locker and grabbed his gym bag. He pulled out a dubiously unfashionable tracksuit and handed it to Stone. “Sorry, this is all I can offer you?” he said apologetically, looking at the engineer’s height. “I’m afraid it might be a little short…” he added, noticing Stone was a good few inches taller than him.
Then he took his toolbox, and tilted it, so water came out. When he opened it, he took his tricorder out and turned it on. Seeing it survived the dive, he took his second tricorder out, which was just a phaser in disguise. Unfortunately nothing happened when he tried to turn it on. “Blasted, and I just had it fixed.” Well the surroundings didn’t look threatening even one bit, so he hoped he won’t need it. Most of other gear was waterproof, so he just closed the toolbox up again and wished nothing won’t rust over.

The lifeguard rifled through his bag again and pulled out a PaDD, handing it to Stone. “Here’s a map of the colony sir, you’re on level 1 at the moment and I’m afraid the command centre is up on level 5. There’s a stairwell just outside here to the left, I’m afraid the turbolifts are out of service at the moment,” he replied apologetically. “Would you like me to get someone to escort you?” he asked.
