Over the years, Beveres had grown sensitive to movement around her. Call it paranoia, she called it: caution. Turning her head, a goofy grin across her face, she nodded to Stein. “Doctor! Welcome to the..” She glanced around the room, “Craziness?” She shrugged, it was the most normal word one could use to describe anything on Viking.

“I think that is a suitable explanation, the first time I arrived on the Viking almost eight years ago the transporter system almost killed me” Peter said with a wry smile “Luckily we had some damn fine engineers that saved my hide.”

“It was not until the Viking that I truly understood people’s displeasure with transporter systems. Although, I don’t think many are as hungry as Viking’s.”

Stein looked around when Beveres addressed him. “Thank you for the warm welcome doctor,” he said with an almost bemused grin. “I trust all staff meetings on the Viking are this jovial? If not I am afraid I will be sorely disappointed.”

“Then I am afraid, Doctor,” The corners of Beveres’ lips contorted into the makings of an almost despondent frown. “You will be disappointed.” A grin quickly squashed any remnants of her sadness, “Viking is the furthest from jovial, but she’s always mischievous.”

“Mischievious in a.. dark sense of the word,” Nevin replied, “When the holodeck works and creates a nice setting like this, I start to wonder what the ship is cooking up for us.”

“Well I think the holodecks should be fine for a while. We found some time and did maintenance on them. The pattern buffers were replaced, some corruptions cleared in security protocols, amongst other things. Sadly holodeck and replicators share a lot of parts. We’ve been short on them for quite a while, and having working replicators is usualy given a higher priority then holodecks. If the industrial replicator in hangar brakes down again, we might have to close the holodeck compleately to strip it of parts.”
Mike explained. Fixing something usualy isn’t that hard. Take bad stuff out, put new stuff in. But when all you have are already used and questionable parts… it get’s harder and less reliable.

“This isnt a program. Everything you see except for the room im myself and a couple of engineers have built” she waited for the engineering chief to scold her for using his team for this but moral was an issue for her and she wanted to keep her crew as happy as she could. She couldn’t afford to loose any more of them.

One of the NEs tapped her on her shoulder and caused to jump slightly. It wasn’t often she was startled but she had forgotten she had asked him to let her know when everything is ready. “It’s ready” he said slightly shaken.

As she turned to face him the shadows of the ship danced in anticipation of what was about to happen. She nodded to both the shadows and and the ensign. As the shadows dissapeared Viktoryia let out a sigh.

Once the shadows had left the holosuite they quickly made it to their target. Upon entering they quickly found the scientist, and started trying to get his attention. Their movement was swift and gentle hoping to get his attention.
