Elias had always liked Sickbay. She had spent a lot of time there on the Hesiod when she was doing her own research on pharmacology and its applications on a starship. Plus her work as a biologist meant there were often cross-overs in the two disciplines.

She stepped through the doors and flagged down one of the nursing staff. “I am here for my boarding physical.” She said, flatly. “Lieutenant Elias Lenka.”

Lenka was not prone to flowery speech; she just got to the point.

The NE, his arm full of various pieces of medical equipment nodded in the direction of a lone man in the centre of sickbay who appeared to be running scans on something in a petri dish. “Doctor Harrington can help you with that,” he said briefly before moving off to deliver his load.

As Lenka got closer to the man, she would notice that despite his Medical uniform he looked like he ought more to be a patient than a doctor. His face was gaunt, and it was obvious he had lost a lot of weight recently as his uniform didn’t quite fit him the way it should. He was deeply engorsed in the scans he was reading.
