Antos had been left in the care of a holo-nanny but as happened often to the Viking’s system, the holo-system failed leaving the XO’s son unattended. Nevin had always told Antos to head to the lounge if he was scared and alone. There would always be someone there that would keep him safe. Even if it was just the galley staff, they were still starfleet personnel and would not see harm come to a child.

When Antos entered he felt afraid. The room was bustling with officers that were either off duty or on meal breaks all silhouetted by the lighted of the nebula that was shining ominous brightly in the large pane windows. The glow gave the viking-themed lounge a strange almost unfriendly appearance.

Not immediately seeing anyone he knew, Antos headed for the window through which he could see the ambassador class vessel in the haze, and the much smaller shuttle carrying the away team dissapearring into the swirls of gas outside…

The child fiddled nervously with his elaborate three chained earcuff.

-Antos

“Antos?” A voice sounded from behind him. It bore a distinctly foreign accent, but her words remained literate and clear enough to be comprehended. Taking a few small steps towards the boy, Ta’lahali furrowed her eyebrows, slightly confused at why he was here. Without saying anything further, she leisurely found her way to the window, keeping a few feet between them, as not to scare the boy off, in any manner. “Is everything all right?” She asked. Tal knew the boy likely had to learn to he independent, with a father in a position such as Nevin’s. Although, it still concerned the Counselor to the fact that he was alone.

“The holo-nanny broke again. And I think the computer’s broke too. It say’s Dad’s not onboard, “I thought it best to be where there are grown ups.”

Little Crenity came into the lounge. The child likely escaped her father again. She quietly spotted Antos and recognized that he was another child. The almost two year old flew up and landed next to him. “ what you doing” she asked as she folded her wings.
Crenity

“I’m waiting for my Dad. Is your holo-nanny broke too?” he asked.

-Antos

“ What’s a Holo-nanny. No I decided to go exsploring daddy fell asleep watching a movie” she said giggling. She turned her head sideways. “ is your daddy sleeping to” she asked inocintly.
Crenity

“I don’t know,” Antos replied, “The computer thinks he’s not on the ship, but he has to be.”

-Antos

“Mommy said she had to leave the ship for a little wile Maby your dady is with her. Want to play tag or go exsploring. Do you go to school mommy said I can’t go until I’m this meny ” Crenity said. She held up her had to indicate 5 years old. She smiled at the boy. Thow he was older then she was she had no problem communicating with him. “ I’m Crenity what’s your name” she asked.

“I’m Dakin,” Antos replied, “I’m not allowed to explore on my own. I came here because there are grown ups and Dad says its safer to be around grown ups than on your own.”

He looked up at the counsellor, “Can we play tag in here?” Antos asked.
