Ensign LunaNow the grin spreading across the half-Klingon’s face could rival any seasonal lighting display for its dazzling brilliance.
Leaning forward in her seat, she spoke almost conspiratorially to Luna.
“Let us make it happen!” she roared with unbridled delight. “I seem to recall some leftover crates of decorations in the cargo bay. Perhaps, when you are free, you might accompany me on a scavenger hunt?”Kara Nakuto
Ensign Sharvi walked in and sat down at the bar. After the day of check-ins he had, he needed and felt like he deserved a blood wine.
Ensign SharviA Klingon. Onboard the USS Viking. And in the vaulted dress of a Starfleet officer no less. Now here was something Kara Nakuto had not been intending to find.
Excusing herself momentarily from Luna, the half-Klingon former captain marched dominantly over to the otherwise empty bar and, slipping gracefully behind the longship countertop, she procured two glasses of bloodwine, pushing one immediately towards the newcomer.
“‘IwlIj jachjaj,” (May your blood scream) she announced, raising her own glass and downing its thick, iron-rich contents in one smooth, well-practiced, swallow.

After sitting down, he looked over at the two officers. Recognizing one of them, he nodded his head and said, “Hello, again.” When the other officer came over and poured the blood wine, he responded, “GhIlDeSten. IwlIj jachjaj.” (Thanks. May your blood scream) He raised his glass to hers and downed his drink as well. It tasted refreshing after that long day. He was still in uniform with his baldric with the Great House of Martok logo on it.
Ensign SharviLuna smiled and stood to join them her sleeping child cradled in her armes. “ nice to see you again, sorry about earlier” Luna said. She smiled at the child then at captain. “ sence Loki my ummm…” Luna trailed off and looked at the captain she was not shure what to call him or how to explain him. “ Crenity’s father” she finally said nodding tears the little girl. “ Iv been running in circles for godness knows how long. How was your first day” Luna asked with a smile.
Ensign Luna
“It’s ok. You have a lot on your plate, it looks like. My day was good, got all my check-ins done and reported to duty on time, and thanks to this lovely warrior here, I have had some blood wine, which was exactly what I was going to order. Thank you, I uh, don’t think we’ve met before.” He said. “I’m Tath’ihl Sharvi.”Luna smiled glad he had had a good day. She looked behind to make shure no one was there and there was nothing she would bump an knock over before opening her wings. The wing span was an impressive 10 feet. But just as quietly as she opened her wings she fouled her shoulders and folded her wings against her back. Crenity muttered something about shadows in her sleep. She stretched her arm and blinked. Bright blue eyes showed briefly before she fell back to sleep.

Kara glanced over at the sleeping child, a smile dancing across her lips.
“I wish we all found sleep so easily,” she commented, before reaching for a third glass and pouring Luna a measure of the bloodwine.
“Here,” she pushed the glass towards her friend. “Drink this, Luna. I suspect you have not found much time for self-care recently. This will strengthen you, fortify your body and your mind for the times ahead.”
Refilling both her own glass and that of her fellow Klingon’s, Nakuto leaned against the bar and studied Sharvi more closely.
“It is your first day onboard the Viking?” she attempted to confirm, impressed that already the man had located the ship’s supply of bloodwine. “How are you settling in? This is an…” she paused and grappled for the appropriate phrase, “…unusual ship. Oftentimes arrivals can feel somewhat…traumatic. Although I do not doubt that a warrior like yourself can handle anything the ship decides to throw at you.”
She sipped at her second measure of bloodwine for a moment before adding, as she reached out a hand in greeting, “I am Kara Nakuto, former Captain of this vessel. Welcome, my friend.”
