Lieutenant Semenza had stepped away from being CMO, more interested in research or practice than the paperwork and responsibility that came with the role. He was to remain aboard the Viking, but no longer would he be the ship’s CMO. In his place, a new officer has been brought aboard.

Mika had spent a year as a CNS, and while she loved doing that, she found herself missing the role she’d come to Starfleet to do: to be a doctor. The change of scenery had given her a fresh look on her job, and so when she was asked to return to a CMO role, she was more than happy to.

Today was her arrival day, and by now she was quite used to getting her check ins done day one. It was the easiest way, and she hadn’t managed to stay on one ship very long. She hoped this one would be different. She arrived in Sickbay and stood patiently in the waiting area for a doctor. No longer did the anxiety of a new ship get to her, instead, she spent the time waiting watching the Sickbay, both the patients and the staff, to get a feel for it.

   When the Lieutenant came in Mike was over in a corner reprogramming a Blood-analyzer unit .When he heard the door shut he turned as he was still working and called out across the room. “Well hello Lieutenant, how may I be of service today? "Seeing the medical uniform he asked .”You’re not here to replace me by any chance are you? I thought I’d at least last a few months before the fleet got tired of me. “

Mike put down his work then and walked over to the lieutenant .”Hello I’m Ensign Jones at your service ma’am.”
