Mike had finally gotten him some sleep after all the wildness of the motes. He had now gotten into the Medlab to check on some things. He had a metal case in front of him opened which looked as though it had thousands of little sparkles inside of it. What they were, were nanites.

Mike was curious to see how many if any had been pre-programmed. What he had found to his excitement was that few had been. His plan was quite simple. He would program the free nanites with a simple program. Once they had been injected into their hosts they would simply float through their systems in a state of dormancy. If ever they detected an energy spike in their host several things would happen. The nanites would immediately spring to life and start to transmit its location to a receiver set to the nanites location. The beauty behind this was that the nanites would be broadcasting in a frequency that the motes didn’t seem to like. While it didn’t seem to hurt the motes or drive them out Mike was pretty sure that the motes might be made to take a pause.

Mike was excited by what he had found. They had enough of the nanites to place a team of them in everyone on board with a large amount left over. Now all he had to do was to get his plan okayed by the Chief Medical Officer or the CO.
