Viktoryia entered the conference room and pulled the star chart out of the pouch she placed it in the center of the table. She placed the crystal in the center of the chart. She took her seat at the head of the table and waited for the rest of her senior officers to arrive.

Ravenfall, CO

While waiting. The lights in the room seemed to dim a second and a shadow dart on the edge of the Captains vision. However. Nothing to be seen as she looks around.

It wasn’t long before Nevin entered the room. for the upcoming briefing…

Just behind the First officer followed the hulking Intelligence Chief entered. As usually he was reading another report and drinking a cup of what was most likely coffee. He sat down on the Captains left, opposite the first officer “Captain, Commander” He nodded to each and closed the PaDD. He looked at the Star Chart and Crystal and raised an eyebrow “That’s new” He commented.

The Chief Science Officer came through the door and smiled broadly. “Hello, everyone. Glad to see I am not the last to arrive.” he said as he took a seat down the table from the three at the head. He saw the crystal on the table and leaned forward, studying it closely but not trying to touch it. “Well, well, well… what have we here?”

Mike arrived next, still carying his trusty toolbox. He said a simple “Hi.” and gave CO a nod. He was in a bit grumpy mood today as he was pulled away from a repair he was doing. He hopped the meeting won’t last too long, and the duct tape he used will hold until get’s back to the leak he was fixing. If not USS Viking will have a new swimming pool in cargobay.

Kalika Came in just behind Stone. Her voice silent till she sat down closest to the door. “Captain…” she then replied in nod to Ravenfall. She then nodded murmured greetings to each of the others in the room.

Nevin took his seat at the captain’s right hand side. He sat and started reading the text (which from his perspective was upside down) in order to work out approximately where (if anywhere the Viking was currently on the chart. The two dimensional view offered by the paper chart was significantly more difficult to interpret than the display on a console which could effectively display an isometric representation of space which could be rotated and zoomed easily.

He looked up, “I believe we are still waiting on Lieutenants SEAI and Beveres,” Nevin said. He made a mental note to speak with SEAI. He expected better timekeeping from an Android.

The crystal on the table glowed just a breadth deeper crimson. A clear sense of unease filling the room as it did so. Shadows seeming deeper and movements in the corners of the officers eyes.

Peter slowly moved his head and looked around. Flickering shadows in the briefing room, Next time they were in drydock he was going to have a very interesting discussion with Command about the status of their ship. He looked back at the map Commander Akorem was examining. He just noticed that he’d started clenching his jaw. “I heard rumblings that the Admiral had this hand delivered.” He looked at the Captain “I think I have a Sextant in storage somewhere” He joked… he only ever joked when nervous or uneasy but he had no reason to be. Interesting.

Sanx watched as the crystal emitted the glow and the shadows danced in the room. He scowled and then looked at the Captain. “Captain. Where did this come from?”
