Janusz had changed into his uniform after finding his quarters and made his way to Sickbay. He hoped to meet with the Chief Medical Officer, but knew they would be very busy right then. So it was without expectation that the new CNS walked in to Sickbay and said to a passing Ensign “Excuse me, Ensign. I am the ship’s Counselor. Would it be possible to do my onboarding exam at this time?”

The Ensign at the desk looked behind him and saw an empty bio bed. The Klingon CMO was with another ensign on the bio bed beside it. “Yes, Counselor, you may have a seat over there on that bio-bed and Lt. Sharvi will see you as soon as he’s done with that ensign, which should be very soon. LT. Sharvi, hearing his name, looked up from the tablet, nodded and then went back to assisting the ensign on the bio bed.

Korczak nodded and stepped to the side. The wholly average looking man leaned against the wall and waited. People came and went, no one paying him any attention. He was simply part of the decor.

The Klingon CMO was done checking on the ensign on the bio bed, he turned to the Counselor. “Hello, welcome to sickbay, I’m Lt. Tath Sharvi, the Chief Medical Officer, how can we help you today?” Lt. Sharvi asked the officer leaning against the wall.

Korczak inclined his head and said “I am Dr. Janusz Korczak. I am the new Counselor. I was hoping that I could trouble you for my onboarding physical?” The man’s voice was easy to understand… but his accent was odd. As if two accents were fighting for dominance.

“Oh yeah, sure. This ensign is almost fully patched up and can go back to work, if you want to sit on this bio bed behind me, I’ll be with you in a moment to get started.” Lt. Sharvi responded.

Korczak nodded and moved as directed. He took a seat on the bed and watched as the scanners came to life and he began reading his vitals.
