Reining her control tightly around herself once more, she cut it off so in a matter of minutes she would be safe enough to be close to once more. Till then, a small bit of it would linger around the Captain and in a small whiffed trail to where she now stood in the corner. With luck, the Doc would get Viktoryia back on the bed before she collapsed. Kalika would be no help to anyone for another few minutes. As an nurse came towards her because of quick scurry, asking if she was ok, the half Orion security officer held a hand up in warning. “Don’t come any closer. I need a couple minutes for it to wear off. The pheromones I mean… Please…” It wasn’t a whimpered plea, nor a growled command. It was more of a tired comment made by someone so used to the reactions around her going horribly wrong, that she was already bracing herself for it.

It was the first time she had used it on the ship since doing it for the Captain when they met.

He did take a step back at this moment before turning and eventually leaving mentioning something about Androids not knowing there elbow from their ear.

Viktoryia snapped her head toward the Android “your scans are faulty I am fine” she said as she looked over to where the engineering officer was “she needs your help more then I do”

The captain then turned her attention to her chief of security not caring of the warning the officer gave. She slowly approached her and spoke with a soft tone ” are you okay Kalika?” She asked as she stepped up beside her.

After a few minutes, and evidently all that discussion and more drama went on, without Kaylia even being checked on, she started to come around. Groaning and rolling over on to her back. “Its a good think I find you damned attractive, Captain…” said under her breath. Laying there for the moment.

OOC- Note, I missed the attack post on Kaylia earlier, even though it was talked about and approved. So there is one reply up in the top of the thread, and now this follow up one.

Kalika saw the Captain out of the corner of her eye and tried to move away. But a med table blocked her. She cringed slightly, unsure if the mind altering chemical was still clouded around her. “I’m fine, Captain. Honest. I just..” she looked up with eyes helpless to explain. “I couldn’t think of anything else to do. You were violent to another crew member.” She glanced at Kaylia, grateful to see one of the NE nurses who had managed to remain hidden on the sidelines head to help her. It dawned on her to get the disobedient nurse a medal later.

“I know I promised… No, I swore id never use it to manipulate you. But I didn’t know what else to do.” Despite the words, she wasn’t on the verge of tears as one would expect. Merely bracing herself what she felt would be a most certain harsh reprimand.

“You did the right thing!” Viktoryia whispered as she eyed the door to sickbay. “It could have been a lot worse if you hadn’t” she looked around sickbay one last time making sure Kaylia was being treated before retreating toward the exit. As she left sickbay she gave Kalika a reassuring nod.

Once outside sickbay she paused briefly. She wasn’t sure if the new found strength was from the blood the ensign had giving her, but it scared her. She thought for a moment on where to go. The holodeck or the thunderdome world give her a way to work down some of the nervousness she felt. In the end she decided to escape to her ready room.

Kalika had expected a lot of things. The CO telling her she did a fine job, then bolting for the exit, wasn’t any of the top ten in her mind. A frown creased her brow as the door whooshed shut behind the woman. “Oh, no you don’t,” she half growled under her breath and headed to intercept the CO.

She got to the hallway just as the woman disappeared around the corner. Taking off at a jog, she caught up with Ravenfall before she reached the lift. Slowing to a walk, she stepped up beside the Commanding Officer as she paused. “Going somewhere, Ma’am?” There was a sly smile on the Half Orion’s face as she clasped her hands behind her back as if nothing at all was happening.

“Can’t stay there right now!” She said her voice just above a whisper. She stopped and turned to her security chief. “What I did back there is not who I am anymore, and it scares me that that that part of me has returned. I need time to process what has happened.”

Kalika sighed to herself. Her own outrage had been a factor in the woman’s running off. It didn’t sit well in her gut. She stepped up beside Viktoryia and started to reach for her. Just before her hands touched the Captain, she clasped them in front of her instead. “Captain… I know you feel like the universe is upside down right now. But I think you need to consider the ship as well as yourself. If you aren’t happy in the medical bay, then let’s let the doc clear you and I’ll take you wherever you want to go. But let’d do this the right way just in case something happens later. All right?” She glanced at her CO with eyes full of sympathy and understanding. This was a cruel ship. Not its crew… but the ship itself. And something told the Half Orion, if they went off half cocked right now… it wouldn’t bode well down the proverbial road.
