Nevin folded his arms and leaned back in his chair whilst regarding Peter and this new information.

“I’m sure that you appreciate the need to know who we can trust, and who will throw their toys out of the pram if my orders do not go the way they want,” he said, “I think we can safely assume Section 31 knows that this conversation has taken place.”

Viktoryia paused outside of her ready room and listened carefully to the conversation being held between the Nevin and her intelligence officer. As soon as she had left sickbay she made her way to the bridge. She paused just a moment before ringing the chime before entering.

“Enter,” called Nevin to instruct the doors to open as he spun the console to face his side of the desk and conceal the display from the new-comer’s view.

“Captain,” he said rising from her chair, “It’s good to see you on your feet, again.”

Peter raised himself up as well. He seemed surprised, a feeling he was not all too familiar with. “Indeed, it’s good to see you on your feet” He smiled slightly “But should you be?” He looked curious “I was under the impression you were going to need a little longer.”

Nevin waited for Ravenfall to acknowledge them. He respectfully stood silently at attention.

“As you were gentlemen” she as she slipped further into her office and sighed deeply. The last few days had gone the way she hoped they would have but all she could do now was hope for the best.

“I’ll be fine” she said giving Peter a quick nod “our engineer on the other hand may not be” she said with a sigh.

Nevin sat back in the Captain’s seat at her desk as a means of reminding her that he was at least temporarily in charge until he received a notification from the CMO.

“Would that be the same engineer that paid a visit to the bridge whilst I was on the planet?” Nevin asked.

“Don’t worry Commander it’s your’s for a few more days while I process what has occurred” she said as she looked over to Peter. Finding something somewhat comforting in him.

“Yes it would be Commander!” She took a few deep breaths before continuing. “She was a little to close when I came to. Lucky for her she isnt a normal human and her injuries shouldn’t be more the minor bruising.”

“Do you think she’s learned her lesson about the chain of command?” Nevin asked.

“One can only hope Commander” she stood next to the edge of her desk, and watched as the stars flew by. “But she has learnt too not stand so close should this happen again.”

“In that case, we’ll just keep an eye on her,” Nevin replied, trusting the Captain’s judgement on the issue.
