Luna shook her head. She wanted to be mad at him. Half of her thought of telling him to stay away from Crenity. But they needed him, and she loved him to much to lose him again. “ she is almost two. You dissapered a few months after she had been born just before we were going to visit your home” Luna said.

She smiled at him” I’m not mad anymore but you need to be seen by medical. You look tarible” Luna said. Crenity muttered something in her sleep. She opened her wings then closed them again.
Ensign Luna

“And you,” Loki replied, gazing at the woman beside him, “look beautiful.”

Moving to the couch he gently set the sleeping form of his daughter down, grabbing a blanket and covering her with it then tucking her favourite bear under her arm. Turning back to Luna he reached out and pulled her into his arms.
“I’ll go to medical soon. I look far worse than I feel, I’m sure,” he tried to reassure her. “But right now I just want to stay here. With you and Crenity. I’ve missed so much already. I don’t want to miss another second.”

• NE Loki

“ we have a lot to talk about if you think you will be fine until morning. Do you mind taking Crenity with you in the morning I’ll meet you there I’m going to talk to the Chife and see if he will give me a few days of leave to take care of you” Luna said curling up against him. She wached there doughter sleeping on the couch. “ I’m kinda jealous Iv been trying to get her to bed all night and you show up and she goes right to sleep. Oh by they way she can fly” Luna said.
Ensign Luna

“You don’t have to take time off, Luna,” Loki protested. “I’ll be fine just resting. Then again,” he continued, a mischevious grin spreading across his face, “can’t say I wouldn’t enjoy a little bit of nursing from you.”

“ and how is going to make shure you learn how to take care of Crenity. Remember there are no children like her” Luna said shaking her head.

His eyes almost magnetically drawn back to his sleeping daughter, Loki allowed himself a silent moment of pride that he had managed, somehow, to get the girl to sleep. His tranquility was broken, however, when his mind shifted to Luna’s final statement.

The child muttered sumthing unintelligible in her sleep.

“Wait,” he spluttered, “she…you’re telling me my daughter can fly?”

For a moment it might have been difficult for Luna to discern his current emotion. Was he angry? Fearful? Scared? Perhaps any of those outcomes could be justified.
But quickly his lips stretched up into a beaming smile, his eyes glistening with pride as he studied both Crenity and Luna. The picturebook definition of a proud papa.
“My girl can fly,” he repeated happily.

NE Loki

Luna shook her head. “ do you not see her wings she had flight feathers at 9 months. And to be fair I did not teach her to fly she did not start walking and talking until 6 monthly ago she leaned to fly first. And she is better at it then I can. Her bones are fragile thow there halow like mine it’s a wonder she has not broken anything yet” Luna said. She shook her head and jumped watched Loki. She still could not believe that he was back. Tears formed in her eyes then streaked her face. She could not understand why she was crying thow.” You might want to invite your parents to come see her they don’t know she exists. You can tell them until they visit thow and her exsistenc has to be kept secret. As far as her medical records say she can’t fly” Luna said. There was a bit of fear in her voice but it was there for good reason.
Ensign Luna

His parents. Until now his thoughts had been focussed solely on the two women before him. But now he found himself consumed with anxiety over his aging mother and father. What had they been told of his situation over the past year? Were they given any hope for his survival? Or merely informed that he was already dead? The thought of what they had gone through this past year was too much to bear.
“I…” he stammered, getting to his feet. “I have to call them. They…they don’t know that I’m back.”

And with that he disappeared once more, gathering speed as he tore along the corridor, until the shadows had swallowed him and he could be seen no more.

“Loki” Luna said. She shook her head. Picked up her sleeping child and hurried after Loki. “ Loki, you get back here.” Luna snaped she know he was headed somewhere to call his parents she she headed in the most likely direction. “ Loki you better actually be real and I better not be losing my mind” Luna muttered frustrated.
Ensign Luna

Pausing when he heard the panicked voice of Luna, Loki waited for her to catch up with him and then gave her his usual, charming grin.
“Relax, Luna,” he said, reaching out and pulling both her and the sleeping Crenity into an embrace. “You are not losing your mind. I am real and I am here. And,” he added, laughing. “I really do need to go and call my parents before they arrive on the Viking looking for me.”

He seemed to consider something and then, his smile growing even wider, he added, “Why don’t you and Crenity come too? I guess it’s as good a time as any for them to meet their first grandchild.”

NE Loki

Luna relaxed some. She thought for a moment before speaking again.” Two things do your parents even know about us also we will have to keep Crenity’s wings and ability secret until the meet her in person. I don’t want to risk a scientist finding out and coming after her” Luna said and moved to follow Loki.
