Amber smiled. “Good,” she murmured under her breath. At least the kids could be seen to. She just hoped at least ‘some’ of the grownups had survived as well. Surely the kids hadn’t been left completely alone.

Over at the navigator’s station the console beeped as sensors picked up an incoming contact of some kind!

Noticing the the alert, Kohana waited for the navigator to report. “If that ship is called something like the Mooooooondragon and piloted by cows, we’re going to shoot it down and have hamburgers and steaks for the next six months,” he informed the bridge crew.
