End of the Australian Financial Year followed quickly on the heels of delayed audits, rejigging budgets, supporting clients/members/colleagues/family, applying for grants and government subsidies for the workplaces, planning the development and roll out of a new and improved web app for the key tool our clients use to engage with us and our work (and pay us money for the work completed) and increasing our business’s digital footprint and so my time has been extremely limited.

Now though, it seem to have been brought under control - the hard work has been worth it. Our business has secured subsidies and grants that will enable us to continue operating as the Australian economy continues to wake up and most of the clients who we were supporting over the past few months (essentially for free) have said they’ll engage our services once more, and the group who we are doing the work through are giving us funding for each client who does return. The indigenous charity we support have had funding increased across their existing programs and new programs, and hopefully part of the increased funding will seem them employing a financial person who can take some of the workload from me, so I am not required to do day-to-day financials for them as well as reporting, but rather have more time to do the reporting to a higher level and provide them with greater value.
