[snip]=^=Captain, this is Chief Black Wolf. Once we were able to get through the interference, we received two messages. A written text coming from the access to the mining tunnels near Cmdr. Cerny’s position. The message said “Don’t trust the cows.” We then received a second message coming from the administration building near your position, sir. This was a vocal message and also cryptically stated to not trust the cows. A ‘mooing’ could be heard in the background.=^=

Amber was trying to find other communications and tap into whatever logs she could from the planet. Maybe if she could get into the back logs and calls…
She kept trying to tap in remotely to see if she could get any voice or video records to explain why they should now be scared of the cows.

Amber’s check to look for more signals turned up empty for anything from the colony. Perhaps an expanded signal search for non-traditional forms, or forgoing that and looking through the colony’s logs would give more information. After all she did have open access to the colony’s databanks! An unusual but fortuitous find.
They would both be able to hear the XO’s report to the Captain, that was prompted by Black Wolf’s call:
=/\= Captain, we’re picking up a herd nearby our position, =/\= Cerny reported. =/\= Also we’ve found a fire fighting vehicle here, where there is evidence that a colonist was attacked by at least one of these “cows”. =/\=

Amber grinned, “Gotcha..” she murmured as she realized the logs and data banks were open to her when she clicked on the links half expecting them to deny her. She also re-calibrated the search for signals to include anything outside the colony or on any other transmission band she could read from their equipment. If she could just find out ‘something’. She had both her consoles going as she murmured now and then and bit her lip as small tidbits led her deeper and deeper into the ever expanding search for someone, or some thing, that would help them figure this out.

Amber’s efforts to scan through the open computer system was easy. She found the following access points for further scans open to her.
1) Colony personal logs
2) Colony administrative logs
3) Colony shipping logs
4) Colony production and mining logsGM CockRoach
Amber smiled. “Bingo…” she murmured. “Now… let’s see what we can find. You look promising.” She would start with production and mining. Maybe that would give some insight to the ‘cow’ issue.
Going down the list she would do shipping next, then administrative, then personal logs till she hopefully got some workable results. As the logs were loading, she called out. “I’ve got access to the computer. Looking thru production and mining logs now.”

Kohana again came over to look over her shoulder. “Let’s see if we can pinpoint a time when the bovines became ‘untrustworthy’. Maybe there was some kind of catagion that was released from the mines, or. . . .maybe something was shipped to and released on the colony? Transfer the admin logs to one of the auxilary consoles and I’ll start going through those. Transfer the Personal logs to the navigation console. Mr. Myasnikov, care to do a little research?”
The chief moved to the aux station and began to go over the logs Amber had sent to him.
