“Yes, Sir,” Amber replied to the order. As Wolf mentioned the away team, a small panic crashed into her chest. Being directly behind Wolf, now that he was in the Captain’s chair, he might possibly overhear her murmur.

“Please don’t let their be block on them....” It had dawned on her, suddenly, that if comms were being blocked, they may not have access to the team on the surface. It was late now, but she needed to check on that as well.

When Amber turned the dials to access directly the colony’s comm array she found it operational and accessible. In fact she had open access! Something that at the least shouldnt be possible without some level of hacking involved. Someone or something had left the system access wide open. This in turn triggered an automated test message. The print out on the screen read only four words =/\= Don’t trust the cows =/\= how....odd?

Amber frowned. “Ummm… Capt… I mean, Mr Wolf… there is an odd message coming from the array. It seems I have unlimited access to it. Which, in and of itself would be questionable. But the message says ‘Don’t trust the cows’.”

She had to remember that the helmsman was in control of the bridge, not the Captain. Though, in remembering that, she once more worried if they were all right. Who sent a message about cows? Obviously someone not in their right mind.
