As the senior staff went off to their meeting the Junior officers on deck got to play! They were about a half hour into their trip when the engineering console beeped about something.

Kohana heard the chirp and turned his head in the direction of the engineering console. To the young officer manning the station, he sad, “Report, ensign?”

Mike glanced down at the console, wondering what could have possibly just exploded.

Thankfully nothing had exploded, but a EPS relay had pinged as being out of alignment on deck 6 near phaser bank emitter 2’s location.

“That’s…odd.” Mike said, looking at the console again. “I know I checked the EPS relays, but one of them is somehow out of alignment.”

The chief slid out of the captain’s chair and moved over to the engineering console. Looking over Thompson’s shoulder, he asked, “How much of a reduction will that make in phaser power? We shouldn’t need the phasers, but we need to gt that taken care of. Send an repair crew to the emitter to check it out. I want a report ASAP.”

Standing back up straight, he watched the ensign relay the order, then moved to the helm console, the console he knew better than the back of his hand. He checked the phaser controls to confirm what Thompson had said. After a moment he moved back to the captains chair and made a mental note to personally inform T’Pria of the issue as soon as the officers were out of the conference room.
