All Hands,

We have a brand new ship here. We have a new home with Meridian Fleet. We have you. This is an utterly amazing experience for me… I cannot begin to thank each and every one of you for supporting this endeavor as it went from crazy idea to fully wrought project.

I am moved beyond words that so many people had faith in this thing with me. Each of you agreed to be part of this with me, and none of this would have been possible without you. The MOTD looks awesome, but the really awesome thing about the USS Sentinel is her crew. I am deeply grateful each of you agreed to be part of this crew. You are this ship. Without you, it wouldn’t exist.

Take a moment now to dig deep and find the story you want to tell here. The story of this ship is your story. Each strand you add to it will create something bigger than each of us as individuals, and together, woven, the tapestry of story we make here will be something new and beautiful. I ask only that you pour your heart into what you write here. That is my goal. Each of you was chosen for this crew because I see good story in you. Be who you are and let’s kick this thing off!

I am proud to be part of this, and would be just as proud being a JO as I am to be captain. Thank you for taking this plunge with me, I appreciate you and the work you’ll be putting into this ship!

I hereby open Sentinel for side sims so you guys can get started with the wonderful characters you’ve created. You can begin however you like. I’ll adjust things as needed. If you don’t know where to start, assume Sentinel will be taking on crew at Starbase.

Let’s have fun! Let’s kick ass! Let’s make history!

Real happy to be a part of this as well!!! Like I said before, I grew up watching TOS. Even remembering from its’ original run, watching it with my dad. I remember picking up a comic book (before I could read), and seeing the Sub-mariner on the cover and wanting that comic because Mr. Spock was on the cover. . . .
