OOC: As we seem to have no Chief Of Security. I’ll have my character report to the XO, I hope that’s good

IC: After completing his Medical Jon arrived at the XO office , reporting for duty was the last thing he needed before he officially was able to go on duty, as a aTactical officer his duty would be on the bridge most of the time, He stopped a reasonable distance from the door to the XO’s office , he did one quick check of his uniform, when he was satisfied he pressed the door chime and waited

OOC: There is no XO office, it’s his quarters ;) .. And the XO is the COS its a TOS thing. welcome welcome :)

IC:

Thraz looked up from what he was reading, “Come” he called to the door. He was expecting a new officer today, the new Tac officer would free him up to command more he was excited to have the added help on the bridge.

IC: Jon entered the room after being given permission to enter

He felt a little wierd about doing this in the XO’s quarters but then the XO could easily put a stop to it if he so wished.

Thraz did not rise, but his antennae tracked the lieutenant’s approach with the deliberate attention of a man cataloguing a new variable. “Pierce.” He said it flatly, testing the shape of the name against the file he’d already read. “Sentinel’s Tactical station has been shorthanded since we lost Ensign Torvin to the Chandley. You’ll have console time enough to earn calluses.”

He finally leaned back, studying the younger man’s stance, it was steady enough, no obvious nerves he needed to worry about. “Medical cleared you. Good. Before you find your bunk, tell me something not in your record. I want to know how you think, not how you tested.”
