The familiar hiss of the turbolift doors gave way to the clean, antiseptic atmosphere of Sickbay. Jonathan Pierce stepped inside, the small duffel slung over one shoulder a reminder that he had only been aboard the USS Sentinel for a matter of minutes. The rest of his belongings would find their way to his quarters soon enough. Starfleet regulations, however, dictated that his first official stop was here.Straightening the hem of his freshly pressed red duty tunic, Lieutenant (junior grade) Pierce took a moment to glance around the compartment. Sickbay was every bit as orderly as he had expected, its biobeds neatly arranged and medical equipment quietly humming in the background.
His grey eyes lingered on the activity around him for only a moment before he shifted his duffel from one shoulder and made his presence known.
“Lieutenant, junior grade Jonathan Pierce,” he announced in a clear but respectful tone. “Reporting aboard and here for my boarding medical.”
With that, Jonathan stepped just inside the entrance, allowing the medical staff to continue their work uninterrupted while making himself available. There was no impatience in his posture, only the quiet confidence of an officer accustomed to procedure.
Like every ship in the fleet, the Sentinel had its own rhythm. Before long, he hoped to become part of it. For now, he simply waited for whoever was available to receive him, content to let the crew carry on with their duties until it was his turn.

OOC: Don’t want to make you wait much longer, so you’re my first post :-) IC:A nurse bustling by for the second time noticed him standing there still, eyed the duffel bag and hollered towards the open door at the back without breaking her stride: “Dr Dana, we have a check-in.”
A Denobulan woman emerged from said door, her piercingly green eyes following the nurse with a slightly disgruntled look. Then said eyes swivelled to Jonathon and she smiled.
“Hello there.” she said without offering a hand. “My name’s actually Dr Dana Anu, but I’m as new here as you are, so the mistake is understandable. I take it you’re her for your med eval?” she asked.
- Dr Dana Anu, CMO
Jonathan returned the doctor’s smile with a polite nod.
“That’s right, Doctor.”
He picked up his duffel and stepped forward, stopping at a respectful distance.
“Lieutenant, junior grade Jonathan Pierce. I’ve just reported aboard and was instructed to complete my boarding medical before checking in with the Chief of Security.”
There was a composed confidence about him, neither overly formal nor casual. Fresh from his assignment aboard the USS Resolute, he carried himself with the quiet professionalism expected of a Starfleet officer, his posture relaxed but attentive.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Doctor Anu. It seems we’re both settling into the Sentinel at the same time.”
With that, Jonathan waited patiently for the doctor’s instructions, content to let her lead the examination.

USS Sentinal“Indeed we are. I haven’t even unpacked yet properly.” she said and pointed to the right biobed. “Hop on there please, sitting is enough for now. ” she said and grabbed a pad with his file and a scanner. “The USS Resolute. Nice ship. Have you sustained any injuries in the last six months or is there anything else I should know in case I have to patch you up?” she asked, still smiling.
Dr Anu, CMO
Jonathan gave a small nod as he moved toward the indicated biobed.
“Understood, Doctor.”
He set his duffel down beside the biobed before taking a seat, settling comfortably with his hands resting loosely in his lap.
“The Resolute treated me well,” he said with a faint smile. “Nothing serious during my time aboard.”
He considered the question for a moment before continuing.
“No injuries requiring medical treatment in the last six months, and nothing chronic that I’m aware of. I’ve had the usual bumps and bruises that come with training and shipboard duty, but nothing that should concern you.”
Jonathan glanced briefly toward the scanner before returning his attention to Dr. Anu.
“If there’s anything in my file you need clarified, I’m happy to answer.”
