Thraz looked around briefly before motioning to two nearby officers. “You two, with me.” =^= Deck Nine Fire Response to Chemistry Labs. Rally in 14 Alpha and 26 Bravo. Use Chemical Fire Procedure Alpha Two. =^= He paused at a nearby console, pulling up the deck map to confirm the approach.=^= Bridge, we need a scan of Deck 9 Chemistry Labs and the surrounding area for lifesigns and whether the fire is spreading beyond the lab. =^=
Commander Thraz sh’Kellirathras,
Executive Officer, USS Sentinel“Science?” Asam barked. Telias turned to the internal scanners and opened her comm [O] Commander. Hull integrity has failed. Internal bulkhead has failed. Fire is spreading into the actual lab. Suppression system is off line. Air quality is poor. Reading 2 life signs within the lab. Bulk head to computer science lab (OOC: lab next to chemical lab) is holding. [C]

[o] Officers in the computer lab, state your statsu [c] . If they did not respond quickly he would have them transproted out. He then turned moving quickly to move to junction 14.
Commander Thraz sh’Kellirathras,
Executive Officer, USS SentinelThe fire response teams arrived and formed up in front of sh’Kellirathras. There was no response from the personnel in the lab. =/\=Franks to emergency response teams and Lt Kross. En. Mendez is missing. He was working in the Chemistry lab and is not responding.=/\=
The Executive Officer’s voice cut cleanly through the constant wail of the red alert klaxons, carrying over the noise of damage control teams and the strained groan of the ship’s superstructure. Selene paused only long enough to verify the source of the transmission before tapping her combadge. Every second mattered, but an accurate status report mattered just as much.
=^= Kross to Commander sh’Kellirathras. Chief Science Officer responding. I have arrived on Deck Nine and am assessing conditions within the Science Department. I’m conducting an independent evaluation of laboratory integrity, environmental conditions, and any potential contamination hazards resulting from the structural damage. I’ll forward confirmed findings as they become available. =^=
Ending the transmission, Selene resumed her methodical survey of the area. Her tricorder continued sampling the atmosphere while she compared its readings against the ship’s fragmented sensor network, looking for any indication that hazardous chemicals, biological contaminants, or exotic forms of radiation had escaped beyond their containment systems. Damaged sensors and intermittent telemetry left gaps in the data, making firsthand observation essential.
The corridor remained a scene of controlled emergency response, but Selene kept her attention fixed on the scientific aspects of the crisis. Every fluctuating environmental reading and every change in structural integrity added another piece to the puzzle. Until the Science Department could establish exactly what had failed—and what remained stable—their responsibility was to provide clear, verified information that Engineering, Medical, and Command could rely upon.

Advanced Cryogenic & Environmental SystemsPower fluctuations were sending automatic ship systems into chaos. Science teams had secured their individual labs. All personnel was accounted for except En. Mendez. The Chemistry lab was sealed off. Air quality was low but livable in the corridor. In the lab it was dangerous, fire suppression was non fuctioning, hull integrity in the Chemistry lab had failed and the fire was spreading. The hull breach in section 1 (recreation room) had partially sealed, and engineering had sealed the room off from the corridor.

Thraz took the fireteam, and lined up out side the checmical lab. [O] Fireteam one, wait for my order to entry, [C]Thraz voice came over coms again. [O] Transporter Room 1, Site to site transport, two life signs non responsive in chemical lab, beam directly to sickbay. [C] Thraz then scanned the lab to check to ensure there will be no backdraft from opening the doors before making entry.
Commander Thraz sh’Kellirathras,
Executive Officer, USS Sentinel[O] Aye commander[C] Came the response from the transporter room. Then… [O]Transporter room to Thraz. Unable to transport. Not enough power due to the fluctuations and failures.[C]
The doors cracked open, billowing smoke and showing bright flashes of flickering light from flames. A wave of heat blew out of the doors as they opened fully. There was a flash of an almost back draft and then settled. In the smoke Thraz could make out a figure on the floor 10 feet from the door. Another figure, bigger, hunched over coughing, in the back, pulling panels off with several open containers of chemicals around them.

The activity outside Xenobiology continued to intensify, audible through the bulkheads as emergency response teams rushed to contain the crisis elsewhere on Deck Nine. Stovik neither speculated nor allowed the growing urgency beyond the laboratory to distract from the task before him. His responsibility remained the safety of the laboratory, its personnel, and its contents.
He moved methodically between the laboratory control stations, verifying that emergency power remained directed to the biological containment systems and environmental controls. Around him, members of the science staff secured specimen containers, disconnected nonessential equipment, and ensured emergency protective gear remained properly sealed.
“Report.”
Franks looked up from the inventory console. “All laboratory personnel remain accounted for, sir. Hazardous biological specimens have been secured.” Stovik gave a single nod.
“Maintain continuous verification of containment systems. If any unit exhibits abnormal behavior, report it immediately. Do not attempt corrective action without confirmation.”
“Understood.”
Franks’ combadge chirped before he looked back toward Stovik. “Specialist Stovik, Ensign Mendez is missing. He was working in the Chemistry Lab and is not responding. Alerting the Emergency Response Teams now.”
Stovik acknowledged the report with a measured inclination of his head. “Acknowledged. Continue coordinating with the Emergency Response Teams. Provide them with Ensign Mendez’s last known location, assigned duties, and any information that may expedite the rescue effort. Maintain laboratory accountability. Xenobiology containment will not be compromised unless directed by Lieutenant Kross or Command.”
“Understood, sir,” Franks replied before returning to the communications console.
He returned to the primary environmental console, monitoring the laboratory systems while ensuring communication with the rest of the Science Department remained available despite the intermittent power fluctuations affecting the ship.
=^= Lieutenant Kross, Specialist Stovik. Xenobiology remains secure. Laboratory personnel are accounted for, hazardous biological materials have been secured, and emergency procedures remain in effect. We are maintaining continuous monitoring of laboratory systems and stand ready to provide any assistance required should conditions change. =^=
The transmission complete, Stovik resumed overseeing the laboratory staff.
“Continue your assigned duties. Remain at your stations unless evacuation is ordered. We will preserve both personnel and the integrity of this laboratory for as long as conditions permit.”
With that, the Vulcan returned his attention to the control consoles, quietly supervising Xenobiology’s emergency operations while awaiting further instructions or developments.
Stovik
Science SpecialistThe transmission from Specialist Stovik came through amid the continuing chaos of Deck Nine. Selene listened carefully as the status report came across, her attention remaining fixed on the information being provided rather than the surrounding distractions. Despite the damage throughout the deck, Xenobiology remained secure, personnel were accounted for, and hazardous biological materials had been contained.
Those details were critical.
Selene reviewed the information alongside the readings from her tricorder, comparing the reported laboratory status against the environmental data available to her. The situation remained unstable, but the science teams were maintaining control of the areas still accessible to them. That gave the department a foundation to work from while the larger emergency response continued throughout the ship.
She tapped her combadge.
=^= Kross to Specialist Stovik. Acknowledged. Maintain current containment procedures and continue monitoring all biological systems. Your priority remains personnel safety and preventing further contamination. Do not compromise laboratory containment unless directed by Command or myself. =^=
Selene paused briefly as another set of readings appeared on her display. The damaged systems continued producing intermittent data, forcing her to verify each piece of information carefully. The failure of the Chemistry Lab suppression systems and subsequent structural damage suggested a larger systems issue, but the cause remained unknown.
=^= Continue forwarding environmental telemetry, including atmospheric composition, containment status, and any changes to laboratory conditions. I also need confirmation of any secondary hazards that may impact adjacent science sections. =^=
She lowered the tricorder slightly, her eyes moving toward the damaged section of the deck. The missing personnel report was concerning, but the situation required accurate coordination rather than rushed action. Emergency teams had to have the right information, and Science needed to provide whatever data could assist their efforts.
Selene turned back toward the science operations area, continuing her assessment of the surrounding environment while keeping the department channels open.
The Sentinel was still in crisis, but the Science Department was doing what it had always been trained to do: maintain control, preserve knowledge, and provide clear answers when the situation was at its most uncertain.

Advanced Cryogenic & Environmental SystemsSimply monitoring the events was not going to fix anything. The labs were secure, but damage to the rest of the ship was still happening, people were coming in hurt, and the chaos of the explosions and power loss were not going to correct themselves.
Thraz moved in to with the fireteams through the door they went, smoke billowing out of the door, “Computer increase ventalation to the chemical lab” he called out. Thraz work from the top down clearing a path to the lifesigns” Two more fire team members with him fighting to keep the fire under control. “You too take the other wall, lets start joking this fire out” he noted.
Commander Thraz sh’Kellirathras,
Executive Officer, USS SentinelRight by the door one of the fireteam called out, “Cmdr I’ve found Mendez. Unconscious, badly burned. Extracting to medical.” The officer and one more lifted Mendez and carried him out of the lab. As Thraz and the rest of the fire team began to move into the lab suppressing the fire, Thraz came upon the damaged bulkhead. It was melted, still hot and liquid. Not shattered, but melted. The figure at the far end of the lab began to cough as the smoke filled his lungs as the opposite team used the ABC powder extinguishers to douse the flames.
As the smoke billowed out as the computer increased the ventilation, Thraz could see the other person had several chemical containers open and was trying to ignite them. The man, hearing the extinguishers turned, it was the missing CE.
Cpt. Asam, CO
Thraz’s eyes narrowed, it did not take a rocket scientist to know what the man was trying to do. “Stop” Thraz said lowering his phaser on the man, once he saw that he did not have anything to ingnite the chemicals yet, he stunded him. “Security Team to the Chemical labs” he called draggin the man back to the hall. Thraz directed the fire which was put out quickly, and then took the CE to sickbay to be treated. “Keep him restrained and confined and let me know what I can question him” he said moving back to head to the bridge. [O] “Fires is containted and being monitored for flare up Captain [C] he took the hood off it was hot, something he did not like to be.
OOC: I got permision to close this loop from the CO since we have a new sim underway.
