The comms officer had been routing traffic around the ship for his entire shift. While in port things were so much more chaotic because of onloading supplies and a lot more personal traffic. Suddenly, the light on the left lit and buzzed his comms panel. He paused for a moment… He knew this could happen but, he had never seen a priority one before. He calmed his voice and readjusted his earpiece before pressing the button. “This is the Starship Sentinel.” His back straitened as he heard the Andorian voice on the other side. “Go ahead and play message, ready to receive and record.” As he listened to the message all the color slowly drained from his face. He tapped out a quick code to save the transmission and keyed up an internal comms connection.
=/\=Captain, this is Comms Officer Chatter, you have a priority one distress call that’s been routed through Andoria. I’ve encrypted it for you. =/\=

[O]Put it on a data disk. I’ll send Yeoman Rand to collect it and bring it to me.[C] Asam’s voice came through the ship’s systems.
Asam, CO
2 short minutes later, the redheaded yeoman entere the bridge and walked over to the comm station. “I’m here to pick up the data disk for Captain Asam.”
Yeoman Rand
OOC: I’m taking a slight liberty on this.
IC:
The comms officer smiled and handed the Yeoman the Data disk. “Thank you.” He turned back to his station and continued routing traffic. When Lt Rand stepped back on the turbolift, a man in a gold uniform stepped on and nodded toward Rand. There was something strange about this officer. While he was wearing gold, there was no rank insignia and the delta on his uniform looked off.
The man made her nervous, but what else was new. So.ething was off about this man though. No rank, but she knew all the lower rank command department officers and non comms. And this man did not come through the check point on the station.
The lift started and stopped one floor shy of the conference room. As he was stepping off the lift turned and handed her a folded piece of paper. “You’re all in Danger, do not go.” He stepped back and started running down the corridor as the lift closed and resumed taking Rand to the conference room, holding the paper.

One thing about being socially anxious, Rand had a preconvieved plan for everything. And today she was glad for that. He was an intruder, “STOP! Her voice carried down deck 2, but the doors slid shut. It also meant she always had her personal communicator on her, so she could always be reached. She grabbed it off her belt and flipped it open. [O]Intruder alert. Deck 2. Running aft, port side, Male, gold uniform, no rank, skewed insignia on left side.[C]
The lift stopped on Deck 3 and she sprinted down the corridor toward the conference room.
Yeoman Rand
Rende walked onto the bridge. The captain looked stern and aggressive. “You all have your orders. I want answers. We need to get the computers back up and running. There is too much to do to sit here, get to work.” She walked past her chair to the comms station, “Can you get me K7 command? We need to know what their sensors picked up.” If not, Rende was going to have to walk over there. At least they were still docked.

A couple minutes later, Hart and Sh’Lano stepped onto the bridge and Leah quickly assessed the space with a practiced eye. “Everyone good up here?” she asked, not wasting time with pleasantries.
~Leah Hart, NP
“We appear to be, Lt. A quick scan won’t be refused,” Asam said. “When you find Yeoman Rand, give her a thorough check. She appears fine, but she came into physical contact with the intruder.” Rende had seen enough delayed deaths in such situations that she had no qualms making sure everyone was okay, even if they appeared fine.
Cpt. Asam, CO
Leah nodded. “I will look for her specifically.” Leah and Sh’Lano took out their tricorders and slowly made their way around the bridge, scanning each person.

Bump for GM
Everyone on the bridge seemed fine. No injuries, no complaints. Lt. Jilva was the engineering officer on the bridge. When they got to her she pointed to a small alcove. “There isn’t anything there, just the way the bulkheads fit together, but he came from there and joined Rand on the lift.”

The bridge coms clicked with the sound of the Ships chief engineer [O]Master Chief to Bridge, ship’s broken, gonna turn it off and on again, comms likely not secure[O] He sounded less annoyingly cheerful than usual which was a clear indicator of his foul mood.
Master Chief Karl - CE
Rende mashed the comm button on her chair, [O]Acknowledged chief. Do what you have to. Asam out.[C] She wasn’t surprised he was irritated. She knew all about how engineers babied their ships.
Leah nodded and scanned the alcove, looking for any DNA readings that might help them identify their intruder. She’d locate Rand next.
~Leah Hart, NP
There was touch DNA found in the small alcove but they would need to be run through the ship’s database to see if there was a match. They at least had something to compare a suspect to now.
Cpt. Asam, CO
Satisfied that she got what she needed up here and all was okay, Leah moved over to a console. “Computer, what is the location of Yeoman Farquharson?=/\= She’d adjust their route accordingly depending on how far Rand had gotten.
~Leah Hart, NP
[O]Yeoman Farquharson is located in the conference room on Deck 3[C]
