Chandel nodded as she put her own equipment away and walked with Leah out of the gym. She checked the ship map outside the turbo lift and saw they needed to go up a deck to 9. “Ah, I guess it’s called the Crew Lounge and Galley on this ship. My bad,” She said with a grin as she entered the turbo lift and ordered it to 9.Ensign Chandel Sci
Leah chuckled. “They all amount to the same. I still get names of things mixed up because we had different versions of things at Starfleet Medical,” she said with a grin. “We actually did have a small staff lounge in the Psyc wing, so that is where I usually grabbed a bite to eat if I didn’t have time to go down to the cafe in the tower I worked in, or the larger commissary for the hospital.”
They stepped into the small space and it looked like there were definitely some different breakfast options available. “Ooo, I think Gorshan made omeletts. I wonder if they keep well. And I need coffee,” Leah said, beelining for the coffee knowing Chandel was getting her smothie.

Chandel smiled as she ordered her fruit smoothie with a lactose free omelet. Picking up her tray she turned and headed to a free table where she sat down her tray before taking a seat while she waited for Leah.

Sipping from her coffee cup as she walked over, Leah sighed and smiled. “Honestly? That first sip of coffee is one of life’s greatest pleasures for me,” she said with a grin. She set the cup and plate on the table and sat down.
“As a long practitioner of yoga, how did you find the session?”

“I found it satisfying actually. The instructor uses a generous variety of poses and stretches which are easily adaptable depending on one’s level of agility. It also allows one to challenge oneself if one wishes.”

“I found it quite enjoyable myself,” Leah said. “Then again, it helps that I’ve always been really flexible. Makes some of the poses easier, for sure.” She dug into the omelet, savouring the creamy eggs and mix of rich and salty filling.

Chandel had a ton of cheese, vegetables and ham in hers so it was rich and filling. “What else do you like to do recreational wise, Leah?”

“Well, I used to dance a lot. Competitively, actually, but I had to stop once I started nursing school. But when I’m not working out or meditating, I like to be social. If I’m needing some quiet time though, I make jewellery,” Leah said with a grin. “Which is a hilarious hobby given I’m in a a uniform most fo the time and don’t get to wear my own creations all that often.”

Chandel arched an eye brow in interest. “Really? I would be very interested in seeing what you have made. Do you focus on any particular type of jewelry?”

Leah bobbed her head back and forth. “Sort of. I do mostly wire-wrapped styles with glass beads and I like to make all sort of things that way, but I also like to experiment with other types now again. I do find wire-wrapped and basic metal and bad types easiest to do in my quarters. Less mess, mostly,” she said with a laugh. “Won’t tell you how many times I’ve stepped on an errant bead though.”
