The boatswain’s whistle sounded across the ship’s intercom system and then Captain Asam’s voice came across the speakers. =/\=All senior staff report to the conference room immediately.=/\=

Rand arrived shortly after, stocking the conference room with drinks and giving the captain a stack of blank data disks that had been requested. PaDDs were set at each chair and then Rand took up a seat out of the way to take notes on the meeting.

Rende sat at the head of the table, and copies their orders to the data disks and then setting them at each place for the senior staff to review.

Alden took his place next to Captain Adam, arriving within minutes of the summons. He inserted the data disk and began to look it over.

As the data disks were inputted into the computer console, a slightly robotic voice with some whirs and beeps, the computer spoke the following:

PLANETARY CONTACT: PRIME MINISTER TOLIAN FROM THE CITY OF TALLRUS
REFINERY CONTACT: SCRILLA

SITUATION IS AS FOLLOWS

In the last 48 hours, the Andorian Mining Commission received a general automated distress call from the Refinery on Cipharus III. After 8 hours of the distress automation, all communication was cut. All indications are artificial jamming. There was no contact from Tallrus, the capital city of Cipharus III.

We hereby request the assistance of the Federation in establishing a diplomatic communication with Tallrus and investigating the source and cause of the distress signal from the refinery.

The southern continent is very mountainous and volcanic with very little natural vegetation. There is a single colony that is the Andorian mining base. On the northern coastline, there are remains of a city that has long been destroyed. It is unknown what caused the destruction at this time.
The southern continent is 3,987,003 SqKm.
