While the Lieutenant gets aboard the Sentinel, she had thought that it is best to come to medical and see the doctor. She went in and asked “Hello. Is there a doctor in the house?” She asked and smiled. She hadn’t noticed that she was the only other security officer on board but she feels good about it. She looked around her surroundings on board in Sickbay and wasn’t worried about anything.

“Oh, there might be, but currently you’re stuck with me,” a woman to Alyssa’s left said. She was studying a PADD while flicking her gaze to a display in front of her. The woman set the device down and wandered over. “I can take you. I’m Leah Hart, I’m the Nurse Practitioner here. I split my time between counselling and helping out here in Sickbay. And yes that means I’m qualified to do a physical.” Standard nurses were not, but Leah had additional training (and a PhD in nursing) and she was able to diagnose and treat patients within some restrictions.

She gestured to a biobed. “Why don’t you hop up and tell me your name and what brings you in to Sickbay today?”

“Alyssa Williams and doing my check in before going on active duty.” She said as she was hopping onto a bio bed for the first time.

“Sure thing,” Leah said with smile. She brought up Williams’ file and calibrated the body function panel to her profile and then scanned with the hand-held medical scanner. “Any illnesses, injuries , or allergies not on your file?”

OOC: Can you also give me the scan readings and also anything on her file that isn’t in the bio? Thank you. :)

There were no illnesses, injuries or allergies in her file. “No illness no allergies. Nothing along those lines at all. So yeah. Nothing like that.” She said smiling. However, the scans comes back normal.

As Leah looked over the scan, she smiled. “How was your trip here? I hope it was a bit more direct than mine. I had a bit of a immediate need for my transfer so I went on six ships in two weeks!” she said with a light laugh. “I was so tired those first few days.”

“Well mine was pretty direct. The USS Lincoln dropped me off here when they heard that I was getting transferred right away. Beautiful ship when was. So I’m glad she let me off here on the Sentinel.” She said looking at the nurse.

She nodded. “That certainly makes things easier.” Hart gestured to the scans. “Everything looks good here. Any concerns you have yourself, mental or physical?”

“Not from I am aware of but if I do you’ll be the first to know.” She nodded right back as she smiled.

“Good. I don’t like finding out about things long after we could have made them less severe. You should also know that I’m a nurse practitioner here, which means that I can assess and diagnose issues, as well as provide treatments. I also am psychiatrically trained and provide the crew with mental health support, should they need it. My office may be small, but you are always welcome to come see me. Settling into a new assignment can be difficult at times, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support.”
