Rand hated discussions about what she did before Star Fleet. She kept her expression neutral and offered a more neutral comment. “My brother did his clinical at a veteran’s hospital working with PTSD patients.”

Leah nodded to Rand with a smile. “That’s very important work. I’m glad for everyone that delves specifically into that area. There’s certainly a need for it.”
“My brother loves his work. I miss him, but I am very proud of him.” Rand provided and then gave her attention to her tea.
“An ER nurse?” Marcus asked with a raised eyebrow, “You must have some stories.”
-Lieutenant Marcus Anders: Chief of Security-
Leah snorted. “Oh God, do I ever! The propensity for people to get themselves into the most awkward and inexplicable situations never fails to fascinate me!” she said with a laugh before it faded and was replaced by a somber expression. “Though, those moments brought levity to what could often be a very… taxing job.”

“I would imagine that the successes make it worth it? Knowing people get to go home?” R
The question was genuine. Rand remembered her nurses that had taken care of her. They had been a never ending source of support and encouragement.Yeoman Rand
Leah nodded. “Of course. But it really varied. Those that had more minor situation I could see discharged, but those that were more serious were usually admitted and there care passed on to the next team. For me it was all about giving the best care I could for however much time I spent with them. It wasn’t until I switched to psychiatry that I got to see a patient through their full treatment more often. It’s a vastly different experience.”

“I can imagine,” Marcus said whistfully, “Well if you need a guinea pig, you know where to find me lass!”
-Lieutenant Junior Grade Marcus Anders: Chief of Security-
Rand tried not to grin. “Lt are you planning to get injured?”
Yeoman Rand
‘Never intentionally lass,’ Marcus chuckled.
-Lieutenant Junior Grade Marcus Anders: Chief of Security-
“Well, I’m here to support the mental wellness of the entire crew, so you’re welcome to come by Sickbay anytime,” Leah said.
~Leah Hart, NP
“I may take you up on that Leah,” Marcus mused for a few seconds before continuing, “Been a busy few months.”
-Lieutenant Junior Grade Marcus Anders: Chief of Security-
“Well, I am very interested in hearing all about it. Being new here I haven’t had much time.” Leah held up a finger. “Speaking of, we should probably get on with the tour,” she said in Rand’s direction, “Unless we covered the basics?”
~Leah Hart, NP
Rand nodded, “That’s the basics. I can show you more if you like, but that really covers the necessities. Everything else is really just exploring the ship.”
Yeoman Rand
She nodded. “Okay, exploring I can do,” Leah said with a smile. “Dr. Kreed wanted me to return to Sickbay after I was done, so I should probably take care of a couple more things and then had there.”

Rand nodded, “If there is anything you need, just give me a buzz. I am always willing to finish a more in depth tour later if you desire.”
