Quinn liked the think she was generally a good example of medical officer. She did not like being a patient any more than anyone else did. She limped into the sickbay and gave a toned down version of her signature cheeky grin to the Nurse on duty. “Is the CMO around or can I borrow a nurse for helping me figure what damage I did to my toes?”

OOC: You betcha, Only one I remember giving full name was Nathanial Barnes whom also has severe pea nut and tree nut allergies so Quinn’s extra careful when she bakes for him. The Nurses were meantioned as female something Greyson and I will hunt down the other name to give you as soon as possible :)

The nurse looked at her. “Oh dear… not the ideal way to meet the new boss, eh Lieutenant? ” they teased. “Biobed one. I’ll send him over.”

“Eh could be worse.” she quipped back with a slightly more cheeky grin as she headed for the biobed.

A minute later, the reptilian form of the new CMO came over. “Ah yes… Lieutenant Kindle. I was hoping to meet you under less… doctor - patient circumstances.” He looked at her a moment and then said “To what do we owe this visit?”

Quinn gave a sheepish shrug, “You ever had to climb for things out of reach and manage instead to knock something else down while going for your intended item?” she figured maybe in his youth he’d done so or not but either way, she was embarrassed about the situation but not to the point to avoid the details of her current arrival into the Sickbay.

“No.” Kreed replied flatly and then cocked his head slightly to the side and then blinked… first a horizontal set of eyelids, then a vertical set. “Does this lead to you telling me what is wrong?”

“I knocked a crystal figurine off my shelves while I was reaching for a specific book.” Quinn said with a roll of eyes, “It landed on my foot that I had braced on the shelf I was climbing on, causing pain in my toes, so here I am.” she shrugged. It was a large crystal dragon styled egg, It had been intended to be turned into a jewelry box but her brother had decided she might like it was it was instead, he was right. She adored how the light played off of the scales of the crystal dragon egg. Plus it was useful as a paper weight. Or for dealing with spiders that crawled into her personal space.

“I would recommend not storing things so high up you feel it necessary to climb furniture in the future.” Kreed said flatly. He ran a scanner over her foot and then looked at the results.

“Bookshelves are generally tall for a reason to hold lots of books and such, I will get a step ladder or something to hopefully avoid this becoming a thing.” Quinn was way too used to climbing for what she needed without second thought, she was below average height, it was also part instinct to want to climb. She curbed it most of the time but there were times she just didn’t think about it.

Kreed looked at the results of the scan and said “Hairline fracture of the cuneiform and cuboid bones. Nothing serious. Twenty minutes with the osteo-regenerator will be sufficient for a full recovery.” He tuned and pulled the device from the nearby cabinet and set in her foot, setting the power and time. He then looked at her and said “Please relax, Dr. Kindel. I will return when the regenerator is finished.” and he turned and walked Aya towards another patient.
