Kreed pondered. “I am somewhat tired. But I would like to continue discussing with you. Perhaps tomorrow I could meet you in the cafe downstairs? They are the ones who keep sending me such nice snacks, I would like to thank them. Can we do that?”
Kreed
Leah nodded. “I will clear it with your team first, but I don’t think that shall be a problem. You’ll probably have to agreed to a hoverchair though. Hospital policy.”
“I’ll come by mid-morning and we’ll see where everything is at.” She turned off her PADD and smiled at Kreed. “Thank you for a most interesting discussion, Ensign. I look forward to continuing it.”

“Likewise. I will see you tomorrow.” he said.
After she left, Kreed laid back and closed his eyes. As he drifted off to sleep, he realized the sensation of drifting off was not dissimilar to dying. “I should mention that tomorrow…” he said softly to himself as he fell soundly asleep.

The Next Day
San Francisco was not always foggy, and this time of year was warmer than others but without the intense heat of summer you had in other places, like Spain. The breeze caressed her skin as she crossed the large complex that was Starfleet Medical and she couldn’t help but think that everyone needed to spend more time outside when they could. Yes, it was well established that time outside improved mental health for many species, but in this particular case, Leah was tossing out her rule book and flying by the seat of her pants. So she was going to do the only logical thing she could: she’d ask. Her attending, Dr. T’Sura, would be so proud.
Going through her sign in procedures, Hart stopped in the communal office to grab a few things and then did rounds before stopping to check in with T’Sura. A little while later she ventured back across through the causeway from the Psychiatry build into the Medical building.
There was a knock at Kreed’s door, just like yesterday, and Leah poked her head in a little after 1000 hours. “Good morning, Kreed. Feel up to another chat today?”

Kreed was sitting in a hoverchair with a heating blanket over his lap and legs. “Of course.” he said and set a scaled hand on the control stick and made his way towards her. “Shall we go to the cafe, then?” and he glided out of the room and past her, towards the nurse’s station. “Ms. Hart and I will be in the cafe downstairs.” he said to a Andorian woman. “Ok. But don’t push yourself too hard, ok? You know what happened last time.” she replied. Kreed inclined his head and said “Yes, of course. Thank you.” and he moved to the turbolifts.
Kreed
“What happened last time?” she said, her short legs having to work a bit harder to keep pace. She might be more muscularly built than other Humans and had more stamina, but she was still quite short. Depending on the incident in question, she might have to reevaluate her idea.

Kreed waved off her concern as they entered the lift. He selected the lobby and they began to move. “Nothing drastic, I assure you. But when I was first able to walk again; I decided that I would get up on my own and walk around the ward. I made it almost a quarter if the way around when my legs gave out and I fell. They had to carry back to my room and I missed a week of therapy.”
The doors opened onto the lobby and he glided out of the lift and towards the cafe.
