“Captain Asam is very accessible to the entire crew. If you wish to meet her, I can arrange it. She doesn’t require it though. She knows how hectic onboarding can be. She meets everyone eventually. I am sure she will make it a point to find you though. She very much believes in leading by example. If she expects the crew to seek your help, she will do so herself.” As Rand spoke they took the lift down a deck and stepped put. “Deck 9 has the Galley and rec room. Be sure to see Chef Gorshin about any dietary requests. He lives to make special dishes. Sickbay is on this deck to starboard and sciences to port. Cmdr Alden’s office is on this deck if you ever need to fund the XO.” She tossed that piece of information out as if she told everyone that. Which she did, but Rand knew that might come in handy later. Her face and tone didn’t give away that she knew that though. “This way,” she walked down the corridor and stopped outside a door. “And here is sickbay. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask.”

Yeoman Rand

While she was no green cadet, Leah still moved through the ship with a great deal of awed. It was surprisingly nice, all told, to be able to be awed. But this is why she had joined Starfleet in the first place: to do and see things that reminded her just how beautiful the universe was. “Good to know, thank you,” Leah said with a smile as she stepped up to the doors. “Thank you, Yeoman. I appreciate you helping me find my way. I’ll call you later for the rest of the tour.”

With a grateful nod, Leah stepped into Sickbay.

The place was moderatly busy. With only two biobeds, both occupied at the moment, some crew were standing waiting to be seen. A nurse looked up as Hart entered and smiled. “Hello. How can I help?” and then she caught the uniform. “Oh! You must be Lieutenant Hart! Dr. Kreed told us to expect you. He is with a patient right now, but said you can wait in his office. It’s right-” and she stood up and pointed with a stylus over the head of an Engineer, “- over there!”

Leah offered her hand to the nurse. “Thank you! I’m Leah, by the way. And you are?”

“Ensign McCullough. A pleasure.” They said as they shook her hand.

After their introductions, Hart slipped through Sickbay taking in all the details of the place she’d spend a great deal of time. She found Kreed’s office and took a seat in one of the guest chairs, her mind going over the things she had bene learning so far today.

The office was a testament to it’s latest occupant. Organized and clean, with little to give an indication of the kind of being that used it. There were very few mementos; although one would certainly mean more than a little to her. It was a piece of blackened metal, scorched and bent. It was from the Taliskar… and it was (one of) the piece(s) that had nearly killed him.
