Oshremia Karreth and her son, Isas Karreth, arrived aboard the Sentinel via shuttlecraft from the station. Both, Andorian, they possessed same pale blue hue to their skin and pale grey hair. Isas did not seem to take after his mother beyond that, his facial features starkly different to her own. To the crew of the Sentinel the boy seemed almost familiar but his youth made it difficult to place how. They carried their own travel bags. Oshremia fussed over Isas’ hair and clothes while waiting for their yeoman guide.

“Nervous?” Oshremia asked her son. Isas stared down at the floor, an impressive pout upon his face. “No, why would I be?” He answered, before gently pushing his mother’s hands away. Oshremia studied her boy intently. He should know better than to lie to his mother but she understood how he might feel conflicted. After all these years he was finally going to met face to face with his father.

Oshremia and Isas

It was not their Yeoman guide alone that walked into the transporter room, but a woman with jaw length dark brown hair, kind but knowing eyes, and a gold shirt with captain’s stripes.

A younger woman walked in behind her in a yellow dress style uniform, no stripes, and knee high blackouts. Her red hair was braided and twisted into a bun.

The older woman walked over. “Oshremia Karreth. I am Cpt Asam, we are very pleased to have you with us. Welcome aboard the Sentinel.”

Asam, CO

Oshremia was surprised to see the captain, and it was apparent on her face, “Goodness me, the captain herself here to greet little old me.” Oshremia was petite by Andorian standards, pleasantly plump around her middle and of rounded face. Her hair was pulled up into a simple bun that was held together with a long PaDD stylus. She wore the simple but practical clothes of a scientist that needed to be ready to get dirty as much as spend time in a lab. “Thank you for being part of the welcoming and thank you for letting me bring Isas along too. He’s my whole world and I hate being apart from him.”

“Mom!” Isas hissed, glaring sidelong at his mother’s embarrassing display of motherly love. He appeared to be around twelve to thirteen years of age and in clothes similar to his mother.

Oshremia laughed and fluffed his hair, “I’m your mother. I’m allowed to say such things.”

Oshremia and Isas

Rende smiled at the young man. The interaction pained her. She missed Tabris so. She still mourned him every day. “I know what it is like to be away from my own child. I was glad we could accommodate. It is nice to have you on board as well Isas. Unfortunately, we are a small working vessel and we don’t have to much in the way of entertainment. I hope you won’t be too bored.”

She turned back to Oshremia. “You will be working mostly with Cmdr Alden, our chief Science Officer, but please don’t hesitate to let myself or Rand,” she turned to the Yeoman, “know if you need anything. Unfortunately, I have a subspace call, but Rand will take good care of you.”

Asam, CO

“I can entertain myself,” Isas said. The boy carried a PaDD under his arm and seemed very protective of it. A drawing stylus attached to the side. Oshremia smiled down at her boy, sad because it was true. Her son was used to keeping himself entertained whenever they had to travel like this and visit ships for her various assignments and projects.

Oshremia nodded, “Don’t let me keep you from your call! Goodness knows you’ve already gone above and beyond to come see us on your ship. Me and my boy are used to ship life, even military ship life, we’ll be right as rain on a summer afternoon.” She turned to smile at Rand, her whole face lighting up with the simple expression, “How are you Miss Rand? You got all my thanks for helping us get situated here.”

Oshremia and Isas

Rand turned to the new arrivals after assuring Cpt. Asam that she would take good care of them. “I was quite happy to do so. Your equipment has been transferred to the science storage room. Do you need help with your bags?” She nodded to the transporter chief who smiled and moved to grab them if needed. “I’ll tale you to your room and then give you a tour of the ship.”

Rand

“Oh we got ‘em, don’t worry about that! Us two travel light,” Oshremia squeezed her son’s shoulder before waving away the transport chief. The bags were nothing to healthy Andorians like themselves, “That sounds perfect,” She shared a peculiar look with her son who ducked his head and played with the edges of his PaDD, then asked, “Aren’t you excited for a tour of the ship?”

Isas said nothing, though his eyes darted to Rand’s face, studying her intently for a moment before nodding.

Oshremia and Isas

Rand smiled at the young boy. “The Sentinel is a newer ship design. When I first came on board I was sure I would get lost, but it didn’t take that long to learn it.” She led them down the corridor and to a lift. “Your quarters are on deck 4.” She grabbed a handle and twisted. It was a short ride and she walked right across the hall. “That was lift 2 and will drop you off right in front of your quarters.” Room 404 was on the plaque beside the door. Rand hit the control and the door opened.

VIP and guests were given the largest quarter setup with a bathroom which contains a whirlpool bath, shower, and a bedroom large enough for a walk-in closet, a full sized bed, and a large work/entertainment station.
