There was no time like the present, and Rende didn’t like putting things off. When Lt Kreed sent the schedule out she had Rand take the first available for her. Then she had the Yeoman reschedule anything that had to be postponed. At the appointed time, Rende took the lift down to deck 9 and entered sickbay. A passing nurse stopped, “Oh Captain, how can we help you?”

“I’m here for my annual physical.”

A newly familiar voice said “Thank you for being prompt, Captain. This way, please.” Kreed stood further into Sickbay and directed her to a biobed. He pulled a privacy screen around and then said “Lay back, please. I will try to get this done as quickly as I can, but your record is not current. Expect this to take longer than normal.” and he began recording vitals.

Rende moved to the bed and laid back on it, taking very slow deep breaths. “Take all the time you need.`I prefer to have my records current and up to date.” Her vitals were BP: 110/68, Pulse: 79, Respiration: 14, Blood Oxygen: 99%, Temperature: 36.5 degrees C.
