The transporter energized and soon the form of the reptilian Kreed solidified on the pad. His black eyes blinked twice, once horizontally and once vertically, as he adjusted ot the change in lighting between the station and the ship. He looked at the transporter officer and said “Kreed. Lieutenant. New CMO. Could you tell me how to get to the bridge, please?” The Ensign nodded and said “Welcome aboard, Doc. The Skipper is expecting you. Through the door, left, turbolift up to the bridge. She should be in the Ready room.” Kreed nodded and followed the directions, soon finding himself outside the door to the Captain’s office. He pressed the chime and waited, rocking back and forth slightly on his heels.

“Enter.” Came the barked command that belonged more on a parade ground than anywhere else. The captain was a human looking woman with jaw length coffee and cream colored hair and eyes that saw far too much. She was drinking something out of a frosted bottle that she was rolling back and forth between her palms as she glared at whatever on the screen that was displeasing her.

As the door opened she looked up, “Lt. Kreed, I presume. Have a seat.”

Asam, CO

Kreed said “I am, and thank you.” and he took a seat, looking at the room, and it’s other occupant, as he did so.

Kreed, CMO

“Would you like something to drink?” She nodded at a side table that had water, coffee, and tea. “If you want something else I can send to the Galley for it.”

She sat back, crossed one leg over the other, and clasped her hands lightly in her lap. “Tell me about yourself, Kreed. This was a very sudden appointment.”

Asam, CO

The Saurian nodded, black eyes glistening in the light. “It was, yes. But I saw the opening come across in the most recent update from Command, so I applied for it.” He paused and then said “As for me, this is my first posting as Chief Medical Officer; although I have filled that role on Starbase Four for the past six standard months. I am certified in both Emergency Medicine and Trauma Management; and I have advanced degrees in chemistry, biology, and xeno-biology. Have you served with aSaurian before, Captain? There are only some of us in Star Fleet… although I would like to see that number increase.”
