Rende flipped open her communicator and stepped to an empty extra office outside of Brayden’s =O=Asam to Rand. I need you to quietly gather the senior staff for a meeting in half an hour in the conference room.=C=

Rand heard the triple chirp of her communicator and pulled it off her belt. =O=Aye, Captain. They’ll be there.=C=

After getting a response Rende closed the comms and looked at Alden. “We should get going.”

Asam, CO

Quietly? Well that was unusual, but then maybe that was how Asam liked to operate, or was it something else? Well she would have to operate as if it was classified. She made her way about the ship, speaking directly to each of the department heads (MCPO Johansson, Lt Kindle, Lt Anders). Rand wasn’t sure if Asam wanted their swing officers or not. She had only said senior staff. Well, she could always go get them.

She spoke directly to each of them, informing them that the captain requested their quiet discretion in attending a meeting in the conference room in half an hour.

Yeoman Rand

Lieutenant Junior Grade Marcus Anders arched an eyebrow at the Yeoman’s request, but gave a shrug, “Omnious or not, orders are orders. See you in half an hour lass.”

Karl had been sitting in his office when Yeoman Rand arrived, the request was abnormal, and there was no way to avoid a meeting with the Senior staff being noticed. At least when the current shift compared notes with others during the next rotation. That was of no matter to him, he still hadn’t shaken of the odd feeling of being a member of the Senior staff, he’d been the senior-most engineer on whatever ship he was on for the past five or so years but being chief was a different animal indeed. Well getting there quiet was the word so quiet it was, he assigned himself to a repair duty on the same deck as the conference room and made his way there, putting his deputy in charge.

Rende walked into the conference roomand took a seat. She picked up the cup that her Yeoman had set in the table and smiled noticing the same consideration had been given to the rest of the Senior staff. PaDDs and blank data disks had been set out at each place and light snacks on the side counter. She turned, “Thank you for setting everything up, Rand. You’re dismissed.”

She knew that surprised the young woman, but this matter required only Senior staff. Rende sipped from her drink and waited for everyone to arrive.

Asam, CO

Marcus slid into the room quickly, coffee in hand and a friendly nod for both Rand and Asam, “Captain, to what do we owe the pleasure.”

The door slid open and in stepped the new CMO. The Saurian looked around for a moment and then wordlessly took a seat at the table next to the Security Chief. He inclined his head slightly and said softly “Lieutenant Kreed. I am the new Chief Medical Officer.” and he held out a scaly hand to Anders.

The last one to arrive was Commander Alden, the ship’s CSO and first officer. He took a seat near the Captain and folded his hands nearly over the table.
