After their last mission, the Sentinel went back to starbase for crew rotations and repairs. As they were preparing to receive new orders, a crewman from the starbase approached the CO and XO. “Captain, Commander, Admiral Brayden is requesting your presence. As soon as possible.” The way he leaned on those final words made it seem like it might be wise to hurry.

Asam and Alden had just been discussing repairs for the ship and then, Rende anyway, planning to take care of some personal errands on the station. “Thank you crewman. We’ll go right away. I know the way.” So much for down time. “Shall we l, Cmdr.?”

Reaching Admiral Brayden’s office, Rende stepped inside and nodded to the Yeoman at the desk. “Good day, Lt. Cpt. Asam and Cmdr. Alden. Admiral Brayden requested our presence.”

The Yeoman went slightly pale. “Yes. Yes he did. Go right in.” Something was off. About the crew circulating around that office, about the station, about the air. It all spoke of tension, but no one could tell where it came from.

When they entered the office, they found Brayden staring out a window. He didn’t move. “Captain. Commander. It’s about time. We have a problem. There’s a spy on this station. I have strong intelligence that says a Romulan spy was planted here. We don’t know what name he adopted, but we’re relatively certain he was just rotated onto the Sentinel.”

The news struck Roman with a fear he wasn’t used to. A spy aboard the ship… again. His reaction was not visible externally, he kept a calm face. This spy wasn’t after him… At least, not personally. Rand should be safe. “Do we have any information about this spy?”
