=[O]= Understood sir, we are on our way. =[C]= Charlie replied, turning to her trusty Nurse Matron. “Matron, you and NE Handy with me, we need 10 emergency medkits and tricorders. Dr MacKenzie, with me.” She added, hoping the new Dr had come ready for action.

Charlie quickly got anything she think she might need and was soon heading out of the door with her entourage.

Dr. MacKenzie nodded sharply and responded, “Aye, Chief. I’m ready.”

He quickly grabbed his medical bag, ensuring it contained essential medical supplies, including a spare tricorder in case his BALP-1 decided to act up, and joined the group. As they made their way to the designated location, Dr. MacKenzie mentally prepared himself for whatever emergency situation they might encounter, reminding himself that every crisis required focus and teamwork. He followed The CMO and the medical team, ready to jump into action and utilize his skills as a seasoned medical officer.

As the group got down to the planet they had an array of colonists lined up in five rows at medical check in stations for their randomly selected colonial screenings. The teams would be expected to perform basic health scans, mental wellness checks, and simple blood and dna samples for any obvious anomalies. The colonists which seem grumpy to have their lives interrupted were of course complying without issues. Rules were rules after all.

Dr. MacKenzie began working on the colonists who had been lined up for the health screenings. He couldn’t help but notice the varied expressions on their faces, some appearing mildly irritated at the interruption to their daily routines while others seemed resigned to the necessity of the process. The colonists, it seemed, came from all walks of life, some were farmers, others were engineers, and a few were educators. There were individuals with families and those who were single, all seeking a new life in this far-flung colony. The diversity of ages, backgrounds, and skills demonstrated the broad spectrum of individuals present on this new world.

Thaddeus methodically worked his way through the health scans, noting any anomalies or potential health concerns as he went along. He could appreciate the colonists’ displeasure, but he also understood the importance of these screenings in ensuring the well-being of the entire community. As he conducted mental wellness checks, Tad spoke with each colonist, getting a sense of their emotional state and overall mental health. Some colonists shared their struggles with adapting to the new environment, while others expressed satisfaction with their new lives.

Collecting blood and DNA samples, Tad quickly and efficiently worked to screen for any potential health risks that could pose a threat to the colony. He was well aware that early detection of any issues could make a significant difference in the long-term health of the community. Throughout the process, Dr. MacKenzie maintained his usual gruff demeanor, focusing on his work and ensuring that he fulfilled his professional duties to the best of his abilities, despite any personal feelings he might have had.
