The newly assigned Tactical Office Lieutenant Zam Ra’Ti walked into Sickbay went up to the desk. “Hi. Good afternoon. Lieutenant Ra’Ti, newly arrived. Need to get my on-boarding physical, if you all have time?” he said to the Vulcan nurse.

Ra’Ti, Tactical

Nurse Matron peered at the new officer and gave a curt nod. “Indeed Lt, please follow me,” she replied as she led him out into the main sickbay. Gesturing to a free bed, Nurse Matron pulled out a medical tricorder. “Please have a seat Lt,” she requested as she started taking readings. “Have you suffered any major injuries or illnesses since your last medical check up?” She enquired in her usual monotone voice.

Nurse Matron (Med)

“Does getting your heart broken by a Rigellian showgirl count as an injury?” he asked evenly and then smiled slightly. “No, no changes since my last check up. But she really was something…” he added with a chuckle.

Ra’Ti, Tactical

Nurse Matron gave a poker face stare back, never having understood the finer intricacies of interpersonal relations. “Well unless this Rigellian showgirl was carrying any diseases I hardly think it is relevant Lt? Unless you are requesting psychiatric attention for your wounded male ego?” Matron replied with the tiniest hint of sarcasm.

Xam laughed once and smiled. “Nice. Well said. You’re quick. But no, I’m good.” he said with a small shake of his head.

“No? Very well, lie back for me Lt,” she added as she began to take his vitals.

Xam laid back and relaxed. “So… how long you been on board, Nurse? Any tips for the fresh meat?”
