As Anders was milling about a burly gruff looking man came up with another shorter man. Both wore the common uniform attire of the Vok III colony police/militia force inside the colony proper. “..So you must be the Fleeter security boy I was told to meet right?” He said barely pausing to let Anders reply.

Once Anders did so though he nodded, “..Right well, only major concerns of late are some prickly beasties out yonder of the more wild areas of the colony getting uppity that we’re moving into their normal territorial routes for migrating and breeding times. To be expected really, I told the development folks that such rush work without proper laying of new trails to lure the beasties out of the way of new developments would cause issue. But did they want to believe me? Noooooo…of course not!” He huffed taking out a Cohiba Siglo styled after the fat popular cigars in the mid-late 20th and early 21st century on Earth within the United Kingdom. After a moment to light it up and puff on it he blew out the smoke off to the side down wind from anyone else. “..Bunch of bobolynes and cumberworlds if you ask me!” Then puffing the cigar again he sighed.

”..Right sorry just a bit sore about certain higher up folks being…” he waved his hand as if to indicate his earlier comments, “..well you know, ignoring someone with actual experience in such matters of security in the colony. Word I hear you Fleeter security folks got the same problem too is it?” he asked.

“I often find it depends on the CO you have,” Marcus said with a chuckle, “But most Captains at least take your views into account.” Marcus changed tact, “You said you were having problems with the wildlife, is there anything I can do to help on that front?”

”..Well only way I figure any of those folks in their puffy suits inside..” he said thumbing over to the more higher class buildings and admin offices of the colony further down the way. “..Will take anything I suggest with seriousness if showing them beyond any doubt the problem I’m saying is true. Only way that is going to happen is if we get down and dirty out there in the wilds and tag a pack or two of the beasties and show a natural pattern of movement. Given my tasks assignments kept me from doing that to keep my complaints down, I could use some extra hands laying tag traps and scan drones out in the boonies. Presuming you Fleeters dont mind getting a bit of a hike in? Thing we found with these beasties when their in migrating or heat they got a sort of sixth sense about higher band energy emissions. Transporters and such only make them madder and nasty. So we got to go in on foot, so you still up for that?” he asked.
