[snip]Roman had given the order for Yarwood, Anders, and Avarak to head to the transporter room. Upon arriving, they stood on the transporter pad, the transporter tech slid his hand over the controls, and the team was transported to the planet surface.

As the transporter beam faded from around the Away Team, Marcus Anders took in his surroundings for a moment. At this point, any other Security officer would instinctively reach for their phaser, but Marcus chose to trust his instincts as an explorer first.
-Lt. Junior Grade Marcus Anders: Chief of Security-
Beaming down the team as they faded back into view were in a central courtyard. It had much of the same spacing and flair/build of Windsor Castle Courtyard on Earth in England.
They were currently on a rectangular strip of grass meant for visitors to beam down on, ahead of them coming into view were four royal like dressed security guards, but they lacked any phasers/laser armaments. A symbolic holster where a square piece was fitted for such adornment was present though, as was a fake sword scabbard. Once the four split up, two to each side of the door at attention, out came the royal colony Governor Lord Samuel Stevens III. Next to him in similar pomp and regal attire was a woman in a lovely white dress that ended just before it would touch the ground by about an inch or two. The woman curtsied before the away team then turned to direct their attention to Stevens. “Greetings to you all. May I present Royal Governor Lord Samuel Stevens The 3rd.” She said, then turned back to the away team, “..I am his wife and governess Lady Sasha Victoria The 2nd..” she said, then stepped back to let Stevens take over.
”..You may go about with your own introductions..” He said simply to let the XO and such introduce themselves, clearly he did not expect much in the way of them doing any pomp and circumstance as his own people had. The team would also note a few various well dressed ladies and men off to either side of the courtyard watching from a raise balcony with some interest.

Roman had actually been to Windsor Castle once. It wasn’t exactly like it had been in the early twenty first century but all efforts were made to keep it as close as possible. He recognized the similarlity and, based on their conversations earlier, was unsurprised. Expected or not, he would offer his manners, and so offered a bow, just the right level to be respectful, but also represent Roman’s esteemed position and rank in comparison with His Highness, the Royal Governor Lord. “I am Sir Roman Alden, of the Alden estates, heir to the title of Duke of Salisbury, descendant of Henry II of England and Louis VII of France. I am also Commander and First Officer of the USS Sentinel. These are my officers, Lieutenant Alwyn Yarwood Chief Medical Officer and this is Doctor Yarwood’s assistant, En Dr Iris Avarak. Finally this is Lieutenant Marcus Anders, Chief of Security of the USS Sentinel.” Then, he gave a very stern look to the other officers on the landing party which said, Stand at attention as if the Admiral were before you.

Alwyn understood Alden’s silent message, and corrected his posture a little. Giving a polite nod to the Governor and his suite while keeping his hands behind his back, he noticed the way they were all distant to them, almost condescending. Guess Kovan gave them a good impression of us, thought the doctor.
But he can understand why the engineer tried to upset them with the coms, those people were irritating without trying to be. It even looked like Alden and the Governor were fighting to see which one was above the other. Is that a common aristocrat discussion ? Like, the one with the longest title win ? If so, the Commander win… Alwyn had a little smile thinking that Alden was an aristocrat too.
