Down in Sickbay Rand was arguing with Temple over leaving. Elbbirt said she could go home and Rand was leaving. Elbbirt told Them someone had to walk her home, but no one could take her right then. Therefore Temple wasn’t letting her leave. But everyone was busy and Rand was leaving anyway and slipped out of Sickbay.

When Roman got down to sickbay, he was expecting to greet Rand and then walk her up to their quarters. But instead he found she wasn’t there. He hadn’t seen her on the way down, walking up with someone else. “Where’s Rand?”

Temple was hurrying past grumbling about stubborn young ladies who needed manners. She paused, “She left. Didn’t want to wait for someone to walk with her. Now I have to try and find her.” She buried out of Sickbay and down the corridor to check the Galley.

“She left?” Roman looked really worried as he looked at Randy. “Can she be on her own? We need to find her.” Why couldn’t she wait another couple of minutes for him? What if she got lost and needed help? Did she have her comm? Probably not.

Randy pinched the bridge of his nose. “She probably shouldn’t be. Let’s go see if we can find her. I’ll check in the Galley, maybe she got hungry.”

Rand had left in the opposite direction and had stopped outside the biology lab and tried to sneak a glance at Nibbles.

Nibbles was in her usual place in her enclosure. The lab wasn’t particularly busy. Franks was in charge. Roman’s desk wasn’t the way he’d normally organize it. It looked more like the way it looked after Franks had been in charge when Roman was out for his heart. When the lab techs noticed her standing outside, some of them waved.

Rand didn’t really notice the desk except to feel bad that she wasn’t there to help. Rand waved to a couple of the techs. Franks noticed her and paused long enough to step outside. “Rand? Are you okay?”

Rand nodded, “I j…just wanted to peek at her.” Except half her words were in Gaelic. Franks glanced back down the corridor, “Should you be in Sickbay?” Rand shook her head, “They released me.” She looked around and suddenly looked confused. Franks told her to stay put. He couldn’t let her in the lab and he sent a tech to wait with her while he paged Alden. =^=Yes Sir outside the lab=^=

Rand didn’t wait for the tech though, she wandered off intent on going home. But she couldn’t quite remember how to get there. She took the lift but got off on the wrong deck.
