“I thought I’d leave that up to you,” Roman said as they went down the hall. “Is there anything you want to do today before dinner and dancing?” That was what he’d planned for today, for the morning and early afternoon anyway, to do whatever Rand wanted.

Rand hadn’t really thought about it much, other than she was going to take the day off, no studying, no helping out elsewhere, no computer screens. Oh there was that…”Actually, we have a new movie added to the database.” She grinned. It was something they would both enjoy.

Rand grabbed Roman’s PaDD as soon as she walked in the door. She searched through the database and then set the PaDD up so they could watch and then curled up against him on the bed. The movie was Inferno, the third and last of the Robert Langdon movies.

Roman settled into bed with her. The movie was the last of the DaVinci movies and when Roman saw the name he smiled. “We got Inferno in the ship database?” When they were ready, he pressed play to let the movie start.

Rand grinned, “I might have requested it.” That was the last thing either said, until the end of the movie. Rand loved it. The characters were rich and detailed, the plot challenging, and enough action to be engaging rather than pedantic. Due to a late breakfast and the length of the movie, they completely missed lunch. Rand wouldn’t mind spending all her days off like that, with Roman.

Roman had given her a little kiss when she said she suggested it, and then sat quietly for the rest of the movie. By the time it was over, it was past lunch. “Do you want to get something to eat or just wait till dinner?” He asked after the movie was over. He smiled, “Or we could do that dancing we’ve planned for today?”

“I can wait till dinner, unless you’re hungry?” Roman skipped too many meals because he wasn’t hungry for Rand to not jump at a meal if he said he was hungry. Rand sat up, her smile making her eyes dance. “I will never say no to dancing with you. If I do, you will know something is very very wrong.”

Roman shook his head and smiled. “I can wait for dinner.” Even if he was hungry, he’d rather wait for shepherd’s pie. Then he stood and started the dance music, holding out a hand for her. “Then hopefully I never ever have to hear you say no.”
