Turning back to the group Katerina spoke again, “..In either case what can I put in for your order?” She asked.

“I’ll take the chicken breast with beer, if you please lass, what kind of performance are we in for, Katerina?”
-Lieutenant Junior Grade Marcus Anders: Chief of Security-
Making a small scribble on a crude pad of paper with a stubby pencil like shard, Katerina looked to Angers, “..Well I am not certain for sure what sort of performance the Lady Arwyn and her assistants are doing today. But based on what I have heard usually they range from songs by the fair Lady herself, to musical numbers by all three, to duos of card tricks or the like by the assistants. I am sure you could be free to approach her and inquire if you like?” she said then looked to the rest of the table for their orders.

David ordered the chicken as well. And a glass of wine, though he’d probably avoid actually drinking any of it.
Marcus chuckled, “Well if they need a pianist…?”
-Lieutenant Junior Grade Marcus Anders: Chief of Security-
David laughed. “That I would like to see.” He panicked momentarily, being too jovial with a DH. But if anyone asked it was just part of the cover.

Paul was amused but kept quiet during all of this it was so fascinating to see the old world charm of this place. He tried to take in all of the areas as he could by visual observation but did his best to keep the captain and the others as safe as possible without blowing his cover as a bodyguard outfit with his short sword and light leather armor. He moved close to the captain. “excuse me My Lady Shirley I am your humble bodyguard. Is there anything you wish me to do besides the obvious ” Paul said calmly to her softly not to be out of place. You could see the childlike wonder he was getting from this town but he tried to keep his energy in check. “Very historically interesting,” Paul said as he waited for the captain’s answer. He noted the others were having fun with this too. He did his best to keep an eye on the entire landing party.

Aiming to do so out of sight of the barmaid, Anders beckoned to Ensign Knight from the other side of the table. Once they were in close enough contact, Marcus leaned in and whispered, “No heroics unless you need to lad, but I like the bodyguard cover, might be interesting to see if anyone’s looking a bit shifty around here.”
-Lieutenant Junior Grade Marcus Anders: Chief of Security-
Paul looked to the man calmly and nodded his acknowledgement of his orders as he focused on the neighboring tables and area to make sure there were no questionable people here as he scanned the tavern with his eyes to keep all in check.” Of course.” He whispered and finally spoke to the chief. Just in case he wanted a verbal confirmation of his orders from him.

As Paul would look around the room the only ‘questionable’ people that stood out was a pair of black-brown garbed figures who were in one corner about 50 some feet away. They had their backs to the wall of the tavern, and were quietly drinking something from their glasses. They seemed to both be male in stature, and at a rough look probably had some level of concealed weapons or some kind somewhere on their persons. Beyond this though most of the people present or walking around were just interacting or keeping to themselves.
Shirley sighed as her crew ordered food, they should have held off on the order. What if there was a price to pay for these goods and services that they were offering. This was what appeared to be a primitive culture compared to her own back on Earth, it was likely that they have some form of currency. Shirley gestured for her crew to hold off on ordering for a minute as she made eye contact with Katerina, “Question for you my dear. Are these meals free of charge? Because I don’t know about my friends here, but I am on a tight budget. Does the tavern expect us to do anything in return or is it on the house?” Shirley folded her arms comfortably and leaned back in her chair quite eager to hear the waitress answer her question.
- Captain Shirley Rogers
Katerina nodded, as if such a question was strange and out of place, “..Um, yes obviously there is a cost?” She said, “..All the meals with the presented drinks are 8 silver, if you want any of the premium beer or wines, they range in price from 5 silver to 2 gold pieces..” she said.
Thankfully for the away team, each person had handful of copper, silver, and gold coins appropriate for the local exchanges.
Paul understood the captain’s reasons for her inquiry. He did not order anything he just was there to focus on safety for the captain and the others. He kept quiet as he again continued to scan the area for any possible trouble.
