Paul said with a smile. “I appreciate you taking the time to take me on this tour of the ship its much appreciated” paul looked over to the yeoman. “This tour will go far for me to get to know the ship better and make things easier for me to get to an area that I am needed more quickly and efficiently,” Paul said kindly to her.

“It’s not problem. I actually enjoy doing new crew orientation.” Rand carried herself a little overly formally, but there was a slight smile that conveyed she truly did enjoy her work. Her uniform was immaculate, no crease or fuzz or hair out of place, she strode along at a comfortable put purposeful pace. “Cpt Rogers and Cmdr Alden are very adamite that new crew is given a thorough orientation. They don’t want anyone feeling lost, confused, or like they can’t do their job to the best of their ability. This tour will show you the basic areas for your department and general crew facilities. Lt Anders will give you the more detailed security focused tour.” Rand could do it, but she wasn’t going to step on Anders’ toes. He was good at his job and had his own way of introducing his new officers.

Though her answers were exactly accurate, there was no air of rehearsal to them. She waved toward the next lift they came to. “Security suite is stationed centrally on deck 5. The armory, training room, brig, and security office is located there. Your quarters are also located on deck 5, central forward section.” The lift doors hissed open and she stepped out. “Security suite is to the left, quarters to the right. Which ever you’d like to see first.”

“Its up to you yeoman.” Paul said with a small polite smile. He was glad that the yeoman was a nice young woman and was good to her job. She was a true professional. “forgeve me yeoman rand. Your simply the best officer you felt like you were born to the job you are in.” Paul said politely to her. as he looked at the vantage points he could see where he was before moving to the next room.

Rand turned right toward the forward central section and the living spaces. Rand was glad she was good at keeping her lotions to herself, usually. She hadn’t been born for this, but it suited her. She wasn’t quite sure how to respond to the compliment, but social protocol dictated that she respond. “Thank you, Ensign. It’s just hard work though. I’m sure you are equally skilled in your skill sets. We wouldn’t have graduated the Academy otherwise.”

She walked along till she found the correct billet number. Junior officer quarters are half the size of the department head’s quarters in layout and contain a single twin sized bed, shower/bathroom sink, and a work area. “This is you. All junior officers billet alone. If you need anything for your quarters just ask me or our quarter master, Chief Helpful.”
