Roman held the note up between two fingers. He hadn’t gone rifling through her things, he would never. It had just happened to blow towards him. “Should we go get this lovely green thing from your clothes-borrowing brother?” He asked. She was bright, bright red and as usual he was clearly enjoying it, though he did try not to embarrass her too much at one time.~ Roman
Rand just nodded at the note. She didn’t think Roman had gone through her bag, she was just afraid she’d left it open or something. Go get it?! How was she going to get out of that? If she didn’t go with him, he’d just track Randy down, on principle, for stealing it. Then an idea came to her. “He probably…won’t give it to me. I…I’ve tried to get it back. Several times.” She was too embarrassed and Roman was enjoying it, and he’d probably enjoy it more if he knew what Randy had done. But if Roman went and asked, Randy would never ever give it to him. Nope, absolutely not. Roman could ask, Randy would refuse and Rand could forget the whole thing. Randy loved to tease her but he wouldn’t do that, he wouldn’t give it to Roman…right?
Rand
“Do you want me to ask him?” Roman asked. He wouldn’t do it if she said no, but if she said yes he’d be happy to. He set the note on the side table and stood up to see what food she’d brought. Then he picked something small and sat down with it.

That was perfect, Roman could go ask. Randy would know Roman had no idea what it was. He would never give it to Roman. She looked so relieved at the idea that when she said, “Yes,” Roman would correctly assume she was relieved by the idea. Except she wasn’t relieved to get it back but that the item would remain ‘stolen.’ She sat down and picked at a salad on the tray.

Roman stood and grabbed the note off the table. Yes, he was going to just do it now. He was pretty sure Randy wasn’t on shift, and he wasn’t really hungry so the invitation to not look at so much food was too tempting to pass up. He left and went next door and knocked on the door, and then waited for Randy to answer.

Rand sat still watching Roman leave. This was good, Randy would know Roman had no idea what it was and would never give Roman the nightgown. Nope, it was fine. As soon as Roman left Rand grabbed her pajamas and darted into the bathroom. She knew she was being silly. She’d changed enough times in there when Roman had been recovering. But she felt better with him gone at the moment. Then she grabbed the extra food and put it in the smaller chiller drawer with Roman’s cream and honey. It wasn’t much and most of it was safe for Pipkin.
Randy was relaxing on his bed, bagpipe music blaring, writing a letter to Arvin. Arvin was a childhood friend that had always had a crush on Rand. Despite their failed disaster of a date when they were 13. Arvin had been hinting that he’d wanted to reach out to Rand again, and Randy felt like that would be a very bad idea for several ideas. It was time to urge Arvin to move on.
Randy heard the knock and hit the button for the door to open. “Come on in!” he called over the music. He saw Alden with a small piece of paper in his hand. He sat up, swinging his feet to the floor. “Cmdr Alden?”
Randy
Roman resisted the urge to make another dig at that darn awful noise known as ‘bagpipe music’. That wasn’t why he was here. He stepped in when he heard Randy’s voice and stood in the door way. “Nothing official, I’m afraid.” He held up the sticky note and grinned. “Stealing Rand’s clothes now, are we?”
~ Roman
Nothing official, oh this would be epic. When Alden help up the note and accused him of stealing Rand’s clothes Randy could not stop the absolutely wicked look that came to his face. He knew Alden wouldn’t have gone through her stuff, so how he came to the note was a mystery, but didn’t matter. “And you are going to recover the stolen good are you?” It also didn’t matter that he and Rand had been sharing clothes since the day they came home with their parents. “And Rand, she asked you to come get it back?” If Rand knew he was here, she had to be under the assumption that Randy would never ever give it up. Oh poor dear sister, how wrong she was.
