Not being one to delay routine boarding procedures, Thalia decided to go ahead and knock out her physical as soon as she got done with her check-in with Lt. Anders. After consulting the map, she took the nearest lift and walked into sickbay, sitting on a nearby bench to wait.

Ensign Thalia Wächter, Security

“Get a metabolic panel on him, and check his TSH, T3 and T4. I want to rule out possible thyroid disease before exploring more critical conditions.” Haadok stifled a sigh and handed the PaDD to Nurse Melendez. “Report to met when you have the results.”

Haadok watched the silver-haired nurse’s figure disappear around the bend, giving way to a young woman perched on a nearby bench. Curious as to why she hadn’t been roomed, the Vulcan physician shimmied her hands behind her back and approached.

“Ensign,” she noted the absence of stripes adorning her wrists, “I’m Doctor Haadok. Ship’s physician. What brings you into Sickbay?”

Thalia looked up at the doctor and smiled. “Oh, hi. Ensign Thalia Wächter. I’m here for my boarding physical,” she said.

Haadok muttered Wächter’s name under her breath, finding it tasted sour and forgetful. Where has she seen it? She narrowed her eyes. There! “Ah, Ensign. We were not expecting you until this afternoon, but…” she paused, “we have an open spot. Please, this way.”

OOC: Yeah, German names tend to be pretty weird, lol.
OOC: Oh, not at all! German is a beautiful language. Haadok was referring to her forgetfulness. :)

Thalia nodded as she followed Doctor Haadok.

Turning about her heel, Haadok traversed the room to an empty biobed. “Have a seat,” she gestured and snagged a PaDD from the bedside table. “Do you have any immediate concerns? Or any recent illnesses or injuries I should be aware of?”

Thalia shook her head as she sat down on the biobed. “None that I’m aware of at the moment. But I’ll be sure to let you know if that changes,” she said.

“Understood,” Haadok offered an approving nod. “I’ll run a brief scan to assess your physical health.” She toyed with the scanner until satisfied it was suited to Thalia. “How are you feeling about your assignment to Sentinel?” She asked, deliberately waving the wand in a zigzag.

Thalia smiled. “I’m feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement. I’m excited because it’s my first assignment since I graduated from the Academy, but I’m also feeling some general nerves that come with it. But like my mom always says, “If you’re not at least a little nervous, that means you don’t care.” So I’m embracing that,” she said.
