Radiation shouldnt be too big a problem far as they could see, they would just need to keep an eye out for anything unexpected to avoid.

“Radiation levels will remain safe so long as nothing too unexpected happens. I’ll keep an eye on it,” Roman replied. He couldn’t see anything immediately dangerous, though he’d be watching closely. Overall he was quite confident it would be safe to start exploring the nebula.

Shirley pondered for a moment clearly contemplating her next decision as she clenched her fist. After a few moments, her eyes darted in her navigation officer’s direction, “Ensign E’usah, plot a course to the M class planet.”

Once she received confirmation that the course was officially laid in, Shirley turned to her helmsman, “Ensign Dagget, take us into the Abyss to our first stop.”

Shirley looked up at her Chief Medical Officer after giving her orders, “So, Lieutenant Haadok. What has your department uncovered thus far on the Abyss during our trek here?” A slight smile came across her face as she waited to hear about the report from Medical.

With their course finally set the Sentinel moved ahead at a leisurely warp 1 into the Abyss. Their ETA till arrival should be about a half an hour. As the Abyss engulfed them there was the natural expected dimming of sensors and shields going offline as well as a passing shudder as the deflection systems moved heavier debris and gases out of their way. But soon it was mostly smooth sailing into the gaseous Abyss.
