Inspecting the nacelle internally was probably their best next step.

Karl reached for the nacelle internal tube access door and opened it “It’s not the most comfortable place inside here, Nacelle repair work is not a favourite for us engineers” He said as he entered the tube and headed towards the aforementioned Warp flow Regulator.

Marc grinned, “Guard duty it is, aye aye.” Spinning on his heel and keeping a hand on his pistol, Marc took up a guarding stance.

Karl looked back and saw the ensign wasn’t following him, he cleared his throat “It’s this way” He turned back and continued, giving the man a moment to follow.

Marcus looked back at the Engineer and arched an eyebrow, “You… want me to come up there with you? I’m no engineer sir.”

Marcus scrambled up towards the pylon, keeping his phaser at his side, “What are we hoping to find up here?,” he asked, then quickly added, “And I’ll have you know I aced my engineering final.... Just.” There was a cheeky tone in his voice,

Karl laughed at his cheeky comment “Whatever it was that made that fractional disturbance, repair the issue. Besides conversing with an ace engineering student might be beneficial” He said in a similarly cheeky tone.
